“Happy birthday!” they said in unison.

“How does it feel?” Mia asked him as she hugged him, dropping her voice so only he could hear. Given that she was a former street kid like him, he suspected she had experienced mixed emotions when she celebrated her first birthday in a supportive environment surrounded by loved ones.

“Well…you know, it’s a bit surreal but I feel good,” he answered before pulling away.

“Sweet. Let me know if you need anything,” Mia said, she gently bopped him on the nose before bounding over to the others. She stood between Eddie and Kara, immediately blending seamlessly into the conversation.

Grant shook his head, smiling. “We’ve got good friends.”

“We really do,” Jason agreed.

Chapter Title: ....Somebody Tells You They Love You (You’re going to believe them)

Chapter Summary:  There are many types of love to be found at Titans Tower- Brotherly, Best Friends, Hopeful Love, Established Love, and New Young Love are but a few.

Chapter Preview: “You got a point there,” Grant muttered, wiping at his eyes, “It’s just...I never had a father figure actually give a damn about me and I don’t think I’m actually worthy of it…it’s hard to believe people don’t have ulterior motives for caring for you when that has been the case with literally everyone else…”Jason and Tom both smushed him into an awkward group hug. 

“First of all, who do I have to hit for hurting you? Second of all, you are worthy of all that you are currently experiencing in life but more importantly, you deserve it.”

“The secrecy is just…not in character…” Grant said.

“What did Jay just say?” Tom asked.

Chapter Title: Guilty Through Dating

Rating: Teen and Up

Chapter Preview: 

“I am more confused,” Grant said.

“Since you’re the enemy at the moment that is excellent news. Now kindly, go away until further notice!” Kara scolded, pointing down the hall. She levitated off the ground to ensure she appeared taller than him.

Grant held up his hands as a sign of temporary surrender. “That’s fair.”

Jason happened to catch a glimpse of Grant’s retreat the moment he entered into his boyfriend’s room. Tom was standing in the middle of it with his hands on his head, fingers anxiously playing with his hands. “Why am I being pranked? I’ve never done anything!” The room had been rearranged so the furniture was in the opposite spot of where it had been. Like Jason’s bookshelf and Rose’s CDs, it was in a state of chaos. A couple of the succulents Tom worked hard to propagate and care for, now had parts that were no longer attached to them. The beauty of succulents was that they could be grown into new ones, but that would not ease Tom’s justified annoyance.

Chapter Title: Blushing Cheeks and Blue Eyes

Chapter Summary:  An innocent sleepless night leads Jason to the rooftop of Titans Tower and to a chance at romance.

Chapter Preview:  Rose’s commentary about Tom at the museum the other day had been eating away at him. Now here he was, sitting right next to his crush. If Rose were here she would be giving very blatant looks signaling that Jason should make a move. The thought of doing such a thing was exhilarating yet the anxiety that accompanied it was really something awful. Jason was not sure of his sexuality and did not want Tom to feel like he was just using him as an experiment. The thought of coming out in general also did nothing to ease said anxiety. On the flip side, his conversation with Dick that one night lingered in his head. At the very least, he knew his big brother would be supportive. Probably Tom too.
