It had been a months since Gain and Jay had reconciled their relationship to the point where going out for a bite to eat every now and again wasn’t so awkward. For the last few months of the current year, however, the two of them had been preparing for their comebacks. It had been some time that they even promoted material at the same time (with the exception of him being on Apple in 2014) and something about it made Gain feel a bit nostalgic. A few weeks into their comebacks, and finally a free space of time was made available for the two of them--on the same weekend, nonetheless. Although they were at a nice place, even-leveled playing field if you will, she still wasn’t expecting the phone to ring at 9:17 pm and hear Jay’s voice on the other end asking for her to come over for a bit of celebration. Without a second to think of it, she agreed and hung up to get ready. It wasn’t until she was out the door and headed to her car did she realize what was actually going on.
While she didn’t necessarily have feelings for Jay still, she couldn’t deny the soft spot she had for him. He would always have a spot in her heart, and she knew that he knew it. Fifteen minutes of overthinking were over before she even knew it began or before she already realized she was out of the car and walking towards his apartment. She was suddenly at ease when she heard the music blasting from his apartment. A chuckle escaped her lips as she thought about why she was thinking so much in the first place. She knocked on the door a few times and when she got no answer she took it upon herself to let herself in. The apartment was almost exactly how she had remembered it (with a few fashionable upgrades here and there, of course) and that definitely made her smile. “Jay?” She called out as she made her way into the living space. Rather than going off to find him and probably scare the two of them to death, she decided to make herself at home and plop down on his couch. Gain whipped out her phone in order to take a picture of herself sprawled out on his couch before sending it to him. When she heard rumbling in the bedroom she took it as her cue to sit and act normally.
