And here we are: the WIP Amnesty Masterpost! A fully-searchable list for your perusal. Infinite endless thanks to @mary-winchester and @queen-eevee for getting this set up.

This list contains everything posted to Ao3 and Tumblr for the event. It doesn’t include the handful of things that were only posted in maincord. (By the way - check maincord! There’s some fun stuff there.) If you participated in the event, and you notice your work is missing, or if you want your entries changed/removed, please message me and I’ll take care of it.

I've noticed that on tumblr, posts where a situation where a white lgbt or neurodivergent person - or any white person in a minority group - is assaulted by anyone or the government, become popular and people constantly encourage others to donate to help or whatever to make the situation more known, but if it were a black person in the same position, the post wouldn't be circulated as much, even less by white bloggers on here. Y'all love to preach equality and BLM and shit but when it actually comes to even bringing attention to these situations, you don't even do that 🙄 People don't even realize that white people on tumblr are just as racist as any other person outside the internet.

Announcing Blaseball WIP Amnesty!

WIP Amnesty is an event from the olden LiveJournal days intended for fic authors to share passages of incomplete fics, whether those were things they were planning on finishing or things that were permanently vaulted. Given how fast Blaseball moves, I (@waveridden the mod) thought it would be fun to bring this event back to share WIPs.

WIP Amnesty will be July 10-11, and you can read the FAQ here!

Here’s the tl;dr: if you want to participate, just post a WIP and tag this blog! Your WIPs don’t need to be fics: you can submit unfinished art, music, anything else that you’ve made that’s Blaseball-related. Share it on Tumblr, on Ao3, by submitting a Google doc to this blog... whatever your heart desires. Please note this is a PG-13 event. If you have any questions, send them my way and I’ll answer them.

Hello! This is Jaz @waveridden here, I’m trying to plan a (mini) event: WIP Amnesty!

This is an old holdover from LiveJournal days: the basic idea is that you pick a day/couple of days to be WIP Amnesty, and then on those days you can post your WIPs! These can be things that you’re actively working on, snippets that you don’t think are ever going to go anywhere, or even unfinished things that you just lost momentum on. All WIPs welcome!

Obviously, scheduling in Blaseball fandom is pretty intense, so this is just me trying to gauge when people are interested (onseason/offseason, weekdays/weekends, etc). So this is a very fast survey - like, two minutes if you type slow - just to see if/when people are interested in the event!

WIP Amnesty Date Update

Hi all! Tentative update from the interest check/survey, most people said they would prefer the event happen 1) on a weekend and 2) during the offseason, so I’m tentatively planning on July 10-11 (in about two weeks). This gives folks time to go through their WIPs and such. I probably won’t be super active on this blog till we get closer to those dates, but I’m putting together an FAQ just based on what folks asked in the interest check and if anyone has questions feel free to send me an ask! :)

Another PSA: participation has been way more than I expected, which is super cool but also slightly overwhelming, so I will be setting up a queue! I’m trying to futz with it so it’ll post once every twenty minutes or so.

If you don’t see your post get reblogged straightaway, it’s probably in the queue (and there’s SUCH a backlog that it might be a few hours before it pops out - sorry about that!) but you’re welcome to DM at any time to make sure I saw your submission.

Lastly I’ve already noticed a couple things that are just tagged with “blaseball wip amnesty” that are unfortunately not showing up in the tracked tag. If you’re at all concerned about this, again, please DM me here and I’ll make sure your stuff gets seen.

In the meantime, while I set up the queue, everyone should check out the Ao3 collection - there’s already a good handful of things on there that aren’t crossposted here!

Happy WIP Amnesty!

It’s July 10-11, which means that it’s officially Blaseball WIP Amnesty!

What is this event? It’s a way for folks to share WIPs, whether those are things they’re going to finish permanently-unfinished stories. Blaseball moves fast, and sometimes things don’t get finished, but we can share them anyways.

How do you participate? Easy - post a WIP! Back in the LiveJournal days, WIP Amnesty was a fic-exclusive event, but this event is open to fic, art, music, cross-stitch - whatever you’ve got.
