after recovering from the hangover that felt as if it reached into the very depths of saskia’s essence & knotted her up so that she might truly feel the repercussions of her heavy drinking, the blonde decided to r e t r e a t for a few days. if invited she is always unlikely to turn down a drink, & spotting familiar faces both liked & disliked would tend to encourage her to relapse - if such a term is apt in her situation. having seen only emmery & blaise the past few days - both of whom have a key to the apartment - she’s not expecting a knock at the door. it sounds FORCEFUL, perhaps because it e c h o e s throughout the previously silent apartment, & saskia trudges reluctantly to answer it. if prompted to make guesses as to who would be visiting her, the very last name on her list would be jamie. & yet she opens the door to reveal a face that RIPS the rug out from under her & the air from her lungs. ‘ um, emmery isn’t here, ’ she says, sure he couldn’t be looking to see her, the faintest of smiles daring to ghost upon her brims at the very prospect. @jcmeson
