okay so this fic is one i ENTIRELY forgot i had started to write back in 2022. i got a giggle today opening it and reading through it.
imagine YN--one year post breakup with Yoongi--giving us her best dance moves in a club when she meets a handsome stranger (Namjoon), who doesn't start to look familiar until she's back in his bed in a...... strangely familiar apartment. the fic is half crack half smut half contemplating navigating relationship changes.
i don't often write stories inspired by real life but--this one is an exception. this one is based on some irl college shenanigans (hence--oops). i had an on-and-off fling throughout college with a friend-turned-lover. we were really bad at talking. but it was so fun. we ended things shortly before we graduated (ask me to tell you this story sometime, it's my only "breakup" that was entirely nonverbal 🤣). a few weeks later, i was going home with another guy only to have him lead me to my ex's front door. when i asked, he said he lived with my ex--and that they were besties. all brand new information to me.
let's just say i turned around real quick. (and we went back to my place instead).

favorite fic you wrote this year
My fave one would be one of my B.I fics!! haha What You Wanted was the one I put my whole heart into and was written for my personal...um...need *coughs* After writing Under The Blankets the year before, I wanted to have something that is simple, no drama, just pure smut but with some extra oomph that can give you a fuzzy feeling in the tummy, and that fic happened. I'd say this is the fic that I loved so far and had no regrets writing
The Bedroom Hymns comes close second. Because its fae prince Yoongi and I'm having a blast writing this one <33
15. something you learned this year
I answered this previously. BUT I might also add that I have learned more about story mapping recently. I've been using this to properly map out my characters, story timeline, and story outline, which is incredibly helpful for my writing process. I still need to delve deeper, obviously, but I have a lot of fun doing this when I'm stuck in a story. though the urge to go back to my old story to fix things by doing story mapping more properly gets really strong once in a while lol

The way I had to look through my masterlist to see because I forgot, only to realize I didn’t finish writing a lot of fics this year lmaooo 🙃
But if I had to pick one, it’d be Spin You Like a Hit Record! My first fic about my new man Chan and one that let me include music from my cultural background! It was a fun little thing for me to start as I dipped my toes into writing SKZ fics.

Undershirt, Underskirt, hands down. The way I was shocked as I kept watching the notes grow as each day passed and we’re still getting people coming in and checking it out! The power of Chan in a tank top 😛
15. something you learned this year
This is something I’ve always gone by, but this year made it hit especially hard; at the end of the day, WRITE FOR YOURSELF. It’s so hard to predict what readers want. The fic that you expect to get a ton of traffic only gets a little bit. The fic that you expect to barely get any attention gets hundreds to thousands of notes.
Everything is fickle. Relying on mainly notes will bring nothing but misery. With the way this site is going, it’s best to just write what’s speaking to you at the moment. Trust me, there will be at least one person out there who will enjoy it!

Eh, not the best, but not the worst. I worked and got a couple of gifts, the celebration was pushed to the weekend when we went to the city for the Global Citizen Festival lol

What can I say about Éffleurer? The only person who knows where the plot is going is @cybrsan (don't kidnap her) THERE ARE CLUES ALREADY IN THE STORY, that's all I have to say about that. I'm still rebooting my writing habits and brain after the trauma of school, but this story will see its end, that I promise. I appreciate you following for so long cause if you found me here, you're a real one for sure. Here's a couple of lines from Chapter 19. Though somewhere I remember warning you guys the next couple of chapters were a little...angsty.
“Didn’t I tell you never to threaten me with another man again?”
This time your laugh was incredulous and you had no intention of hiding it. “Is it a threat if you’re not even interested? You need this reminder, Seokjin. There are others who would actually appreciate their time with me.”
“I’m the only man worth your time. You belong to me." Even after all his behavior, he had the nerve to look irritated. "Don’t forget it again.”
Disobeying his instructions this time felt like an easy choice. You rose from your knees, towering over where he sat on his couch, and looked down on him in defiance. It encouraged you that even while you were clearly breaking his rules, and even though he clearly meant to be in control of this situation, he still had trouble keeping his eyes off your naked body.
“You’ve spent the last two weeks making me forget.”
As for Size Matters, I talked about how it started in my previous ask, so I'll post a little bit of that one here as well...
“What a good little bitch, waiting here for me like this.”
Hoseok’s alpha call was unlike anything you'd ever known, all-encompassing. You had never felt a pull to submit like this before. You leaned back in his arms, baring your neck, and he cooed in approval.
“Such a good baby girl for me. Gonna take my knot so well.”
Knot. Something about a knot wasn't right. “N-no…”
“Oh, yes," he said, hands already meeting the bare skin underneath your shirt. "Can't fucking wait.”
“Hoseok, please. I think I can't-”
You fell forward against the stove, Hoseok's warmth suddenly gone, the grip of his pheromones releasing you instantly.
“Mine.”
You whirled at the sound of Namjoon growling through gritted teeth, though the twin voice of his alpha made it that much more menacing. Your boyfriend had Hoseok pinned against the tile by his shoulders, teeth bared in a threat you knew he meant. Hoseok didn't intend to be an idle victim however, fists already balled in Namjoon's shirt.
Before you had a chance to panic, Yoongi was suddenly beside you, looking more bored than anything else.
for the wip game: a guy with a denim jacket and Jungkook breakup??👀👀👀
"A guy with a denim jacket" is one I completely forgot about until this game 😂. I wrote it when the dynamite concept photos came out and Jungkook was wearing a demin jacket. It's a one shot where reader works in a donut shop and Jungkook is the handsome stranger she has a crush on, always wearing a denim jacket (except one time to reveal his tattoos of course). I only wrote the first scene and I don't remember where I was going with it but I kinda wanna finish it now because it was kinda cute 🥺
"Jungkook break up" is a fic where Yoongi and Jungkook are old friends who drifted apart over time. When Jungkook has a difficult break up he shows up at Yoongi's doorstep after years of no contact because he doesn't know where else to go. Yoongi lets him in and Jungkook unloads the story of what happened, while Yoongi is reminded of the hopeless crush he had on Jungkook all those years ago. The story is about them reconnecting and tracing back the steps of how they lost contact in the first place, and Jungkook's jackass ex who destroyed his self esteem, that of course Yoongi will help rebuild. Will he now actually be brave enough to admit his feelings? You will find out maybe some day if I ever finish writing it 😌. At this point in the wip Jungkook just got out of the shower in Yoongi's apartment because of course when he arrived it was raining and he was soaking wet.
