Somehow Jett had convinced you hiking off one of the marked trails would be a good idea, but now you were cold and wishing your cell had service so you could call Beth to come and rescue you both. As flip your phone open you hear Jett clear his throat.
“We aren’t lost. Put the Razr back in your pocket. I want you to see somethin’. We are almost there, come on.”
“Fine, but if I get frostbite, it’s on you.”
Jett snorts, “If you get frostbite, then you should have listened to me last winter when you got here and got a better wardrobe.”
“I’m so glad my boyfriend is worried about my health.” you reply sarcastically.
Jett grins at you but says nothing.
As you follow him along the poorly marked path you notice Jett start to climb. You aren’t going to complain… yet.
“Here, give me your hand. This ledge is a bitch.”
As you make your way up the final ledge, you are greeted with the most beautiful view of the village. Raven Hill looked picturesque blanketed in snow under a twinkling sky.
“It’s gorgeous. I don’t know that I have ever seen anything like it. Thank you, Jett.”
Smiling, Jett pulls you closer. “I’ve seen better.”
“You holding out on me?” you jokingly ask.
“Nah, but I don’t think I need to show you yourself.”
As the snow begins to fall again, you pull Jett in for a kiss.

“Joan, where are we going? Wait, Joan, why are we heading this way?” Your curiosity turns to dread as you realize the direction that you are heading.
“You said you can’t ice skate, and it just so happens this stupid ass town is the winter ice skating rink. So I’m going to teach you how.”
You look off into the distance wondering what kind of diaster this is going to turn into.
“I think this is where you say, ‘Thanks Babe. I’m so happy we get a chance bond like this. I love you so, so much.” Joan says only slightly sarcastic.
“You know I love you, I just hope that you are aware of how bad this is going to be… If you thought the sidewalk was bad, just wait until you see me on skates.”
Joan laughs and kisses you. “Don’t worry, baby. I brought a disposable camera in case there are any memorable shots.”
