The 2011 Thundercats reboot was really good and a lot of why it died can be tied to constant shifting schedules and no marketing, then shut down with the reason that it didn't sell toys, because of course. But yeah, the rest of those points are great and my opinion is just that it's a shame that the 2011 didn't thrive, not that this new one is bad for existing. I'm hoping it's good so some new kids can have fun with Thundercats.

I never even heard about the Thundercats reboot. A huge issue I have with cartoons and animations is the absolute lack of marketing many of them get, there’s no advertising or hype and it seems completely random. People give no importance to marketing and it’s caused many good things to go under the radar.

But yeah I’m glad this new remake is happening!! I think it looks adorable and I’m hoping it won’t become a cynical, ridiculous pseudo dark humor infested fuckery like Rick and Morty so children can actually enjoy it without gross people feeling the need to ruin it for them. Adults who insist on saying new content not directed to them is “ruining their childhood” need to accept their fucking childhood is over and the only childhood they’re ruining is kids’. That’s not nostagia, that’s entitlement.

And also hot take but I share some people’s opinion on this-besides the gorgeous intro animation, the original Thundercats was pretty garbo and I have very little memory of the characters or the story because it was poorly written and the art was weak, and I’m pumped because there’s an INCREDIBLE team of artists and animators who are super passionate about this project behind it and what I’ve seen of it shows they really went all out on it!!!
