Girlfriend vs Gentleman Jack

So I LOVE Gentleman Jack-the show and the show’s namesake, Anne Lister. My gf, who has not seen the show at all and has only seen the pictures I presented to her while fangirling, refuses to watch it. She also says that she doesn’t like the show. I teased (but was serious too) that she was jealous bc I find Gentleman Jack attractive. She vehemently denied it. So, a little while later, I asked her to watch it with me, just one episode. She said, and I quote, “No! Bc I don’t want you to be turned on by a tv character instead of me!”

Me: So . . . you are jealous.

Her: No, I’m not. I just don’t like the show.

Me: You haven’t seen the show. Admit babe, you’re jealous.

Her: I’m not. She’s an older woman.

Me: Why does it matter if I find her attractive though? She’s a TV character and a historical figure-and you LOVE Jason Mamoa but I don’t complain. AND I’m very happily dating you. Give me one good reason why it bothers you that I find Gentleman Jack attractive.
