Prompt: “ There is blood everywhere “

WARNINGS: mention of blood

In hindsight, climbing through the window wasn’t the best idea. In fact, this was the worst idea you’ve probably had all day. Right next to thinking you could take three thugs on your own. In the end, you had won, but with all the cuts and bruises on your body the real winner laid in the person who managed to drive their knife into your side.

You had lost your badge in the scuffle, it was either in the alleyway with your jacket or just hidden somewhere on your body. Without our badge, you couldn’t have just walked into the precinct looking like a hot mess. Instead, you climbed the side of the building and let yourself into Holt’s bedroom. There was a party tonight, one you were supposed to attend if not for the fact that you got jumped.

You opened a door on the side, discovering his bathroom. In discovering the bathroom, you also managed to discover detectives Amy Santiago and Jake Peralta along with Sargent Terry Jeffords. You blinked twice before nearly collapsing onto the floor with blood loss. Amy sprung into action, going to catch your falling body while Jake held Cheddar close to him as Terry watched.

Amy sneezed twice as she let you down gently onto the floor as best she could. She whispered loudly, “Sorry, it’s the dog.” She sneezed again and you pushed her away, not wanting her to sneeze on your wound. You untied the makeshift bandage from your midsection and almost screamed as you took off your shirt. The cut was deeper than you had realized. Amy pulled you into the bathroom, closing the door behind you.

When Amy sneezed again, you pushed her further away. “Ames, I love you but you’re going to infect my cut.” The second after you uttered those words, Holt and Kevin entered their bedroom. The four of you heard their argument through the bathroom door and stayed as quiet as you could.

Amy’s face scrunched up again and Terry held a towel up to her face in an attempt to muffle the inevitable sneeze. Jake held Cheddar further away, but it was no use. Amy sneezed and then they all froze as walking towards the door was heard. The door opened and they were all caught red-handed.

You looked up with a bleary smile, pressing your hand into your side. “Hey, Cap! I made it after all.”

Jake dropped Cheddar and come to your aid, lightly smacking your face. “Detective, you are not allowed to sleep.”

“There is blood everywhere,” Holt summarized before attempting to help as well. “Kevin, call an ambulance. We will discuss this later.”

You held up your hands, waving him off. “No, no, there’s no need for an ambulance.” You looked around, staring at the ceiling. “I’ll be fine with a proper bandage and whatnot.”

“No, you won’t,” Jake said, helping you slide into his jacket. “So, you’re going to go to the hospital. Okay, thanks Captian, Kevin. We best be out now.”

“Captain Holt, the guests downstairs. How are we supposed to explain Y/n?” Amy instantly props up, a look of mild fear in her eyes.

“Detective Santiago, I think the one thing you have to worry about it explaining to me why you were in my private quarters.” Holt raised an eyebrow, and if you weren’t in the amount of pain you were, you would have laughed.

“Well, you see,” she stumbled over her words before helping to pick you up and ushering you out the door. “Y/n is going to bleed out soon, we should go. Thank you for having us Captain Holt, Kevin.” She waited in the doorframe for a split second, nearly looking back to the two men.

“Amy, about to bleed out, remember?” You forced yourself to stumble forward, a hand shooting out to grab her bicep.

“Right, right sorry.” She held you up. She flipped her head back around and squeaked out a small, “Bye,” before escorting you out of the house.
