Started this "light study" that turned into a 3 day escapade 🐸 I was going for like an 80s dark fantasy vibe. I think it translated in parts but not fully what I was going for- gonna keep experimenting

I love Jim <3 Thanks Our Flag Means Death for existing
My partner calls this the Cosmic Flail Snail 🐌
Still working my way through these factory paint miniatures. It was giving severe ronald mcdonald, I had to add a before pic because who made this creative choice and why
He gives pumpkin, I named him jack cus of his face
Working my way through these factory paint miniatures that I just don't agree with fr. I forgot to take a before pic of this guy but I have a snail that used to be mcdonalds colored for later
I've been making cave terrain with my new best friend Fiber Paste
I can't believe these are finally done! Took forever lmaoo
Some of the stalagmites are just scrap polymer clay I mushed up and painted and they match fine enough I think. I used various foams for the rest- the flat ones are cheapo craft foam i glued together in layers and the chunky ones are packing foam I chopped up and stabbed skewers into.
I coated everything in (white) gessopodge then added the fiber paste- gives them a stone texture and fills in all the holes, and I could also make little peaks in it for some extra stalagmites.
After it dried I primed them in black and did the basic dry brushing.
The hardest thing was definitely the cave pools cus I kept trying other mediums and fucking it up, but in the end I bit the bullet and bought some casting resin. (Used that on my swamp too)
Will probly make some scans of the DM screen I'm working on (painting in the background) as soon as I get some hinges for it
Painted a beholder for my partner a while back
I always space out on posting wips but I'm building a castle rn and it's large
The base is fairly simple- I built it out of pizza boxes and could probably make up a pattern for it easy if I ever wanted to build another one. Currently gluing individual craft foam bricks all over it.
I cut up a bunch of plastic packaging for the windows and drew the lines on with an oil based paint pen. (sticks the best) The stained glass is gloss gel (soft) mixed with a teeny tiny bit of paint.
I still wanna build some platforms for the inside and string lights all through the thing- there'll be torches on the front and the towers will light up 🔥
Gotta trust the process lol
I got a big box of misprint miniatures and am in the process of fixing them. Haven't posted in a while but these are keeping me busy 💯
I was honestly surprised by the quality of these. For "misprints" the majority of them were intact and better quality than a lot of the other ones I have. I found large buttons work great as bases, and after some touching up with the dremel these are looking awesome 💫 some are messed up for sure so I've been cutting off their limbs/weapons to glue to other minis.
