I'm back. I moved away from Tumblr a bit as I had to start organizing my work again with the hope that both Covid and this damn war will disappear as soon as possible. I created my website, my professional blog, my new Facebook page. I already have several work contracts signed for this summer (here in southern Italy we move months before to find a photographer also to celebrate eighteen years of age) then ... I read the shameful article about Jerry and the posthumous accusations directed at a dead man who CANNOT defend himself. I'm going to write a separate post about this crappy thing.

So I decided to change the title and nature of this tumblr. It will be dedicated above all to Jerry to remember his genius, his great humanity and to defend him from the shameful mud machine that has been thrown at him for many years by supremacists, anti-Semites and various idiots.

Paul & Jer has changed into: Jerry Lewis The Kid. It has its own Facebook page and Instagram account of the same name. I have already opened them this morning, I have to finish organizing them and then I will start posting. I will deal with him in a global way by touching on various topics that refer to his life and to the society in which he was born, raised, which made him famous and which is now trying to destroy his memory. As you can see from the screen of the new template (I wasted a lot of time looking for the theme I needed) I highlighted the main topics that I will cover in the blog in addition to the person of Jerry:

-The cynicism, ruthlessness, secrets and scandals of Hollywood, the dirty factory of dreams as that great writer Nick Tosches called it. - Of course I will also continue to talk about Martin & Lewis, they are in my heart and will stay there forever. - The dark side of that America that accuses OTHERS of having dark sides. How many of "modern" Americans remember the Native American genocide? - The story, the personality of Stan Laurel (and Oliver Hardy) one of the examples of life and art that inspired Jerry. - Dean Martin. Impossible to split it from Jerry. I understand Jerry but Dean is a mystery that divides my mind and my heart: I feel sorry for him and at the same time he arouses me so much anger. - Charlie Chaplin. Jerry's second great life "hero". The biggest ever.

To all this I will add his two lifelong friends: Sammy Davis Jr and Frank Sinatra. And every now and then I will mention Italian comedians and actors who may have correlations with Jerry to demonstrate how success can change the way people act. For me they are now totally fascinating topics to discover ...
