Gotham Preference - Their Favorite Thing About You
Requested by anon: Hi, can you write Gotham villain preferences with the topic “their favorite thing about you?”
A/N: I’ve only been doing these four as the villain preferences seeing as I’m most confident writing them. If there’s any other villain characters anyone would like me to add, though, please let me know!
Oswald Cobblepot
As surprising as it may be, Oswald appreciates someone who isn’t afraid to stand up to him. He likes that you aren’t scared to say no and fight back. Of course, this is only to a certain point. Take it too far and he may just stab you in the back–literally and figuratively. If you weren’t in a relationship with him he would definitely not tolerate that kind of behaviour. Otherwise, though, he’s thankful to have someone that will set him straight and quite possibly keep him from making a deadly mistake.
Edward Nygma
Ed has quite the dating history, so he’s fairly certain of what he needs or wants in a partner. His favorite thing about you has always been your passion. Just as his eyes light up when relaying a riddle, he loves to see the sparkle in your eyes when you talk about what you love. There are times when you’re sitting at the dinner table and he’ll simply watch you talk about your day, watching the smile widen when you get to the most exciting bits of your story. When you realize you’re rambling–getting a bit embarrassed because of it–he rests his chin on his hand and encourages you to continue.
Jerome Valeska
Jerome is absolutely into the “bad” archetype. It was a trait of yours, hidden or not, that he picked up on immediately. He’d spent days on end just watching you, eyes studying every little quirk you had. Needless to say, he isn’t a shy man. So calling you out on your badness, encouraging it, watching it in action, he finds all of it quite sexy.
Jervis Tetch
Now, Jervis’ attraction is a bit harder to explain. He has a very eclectic taste in the people he’s into. One thing that is certain though, is that he 100% loves if you play around with his rhyming and fantasies. Perhaps he’s mad–No, no, scratch that. He is.–and perhaps you are too. Maybe that’s what he likes about you. He likes that you’re not scared and that you’re willing to go along with his torrid devotion to the wonderland he’s created in his head. Anyone that plays into his world is fun in his book.
Requested by @bitweird1: Could you do a preference for what the Gotham villians would react like if they thought you died but then they discover you didn't? Including Sid and Nancy?
A/N: Heyo, I’m guessing by Sid and Nancy you mean Bruce and Selina? I’m gonna go with that cause that’s the only time I’ve seen the term used in this fandom XD Correct me if I’m wrong. Also, sorry for taking so damn long to do this. I’m a mess.
Oswald Cobblepot
Oswald didn’t have many people in his life, none that truly cared for him at least. Your supposed death sent him into a downward spiral. So when he found out that you were, in fact, alive ‘overjoyed’ would be an understatement. Seeing you outside his door, wet from the rain outside, he could have sworn his heart nearly stopped at the sight. “[Y/N],” he would sputter. “You’re here. You’re alive. I...I thought...” He would stop short, taking in your soaken state. Snapping at the housekeeper, he’d have a towel and warm bath ready and waiting. You were here and well, and he would make damn sure it stayed that way.
Selina Kyle
Selina’s seen some shit while living on the street. To be honest, she’s been caught up in most of the madness around town. It takes a lot to catch her off guard. Ivy coming back different after going missing was one thing. You somehow returning after being confirmed as dead was another thing entirely. Her eyes would narrow, scrutinizing your form as if debating whether this was real or not. “What the hell, [Y/N]?” She’d hop off whatever perch she’d been on, moving closer to you. “Ya can’t go disappearing on me like that!” In all Selina is upset, and understandbly so. But deep inside she’s relieved and a bit more at ease that you’re okay.
Jervis Tetch
Jervis had practically gone mad (heh, see what I did there) at the idea that you could be dead. He had already lost his sister, the last thing he needed was to lose the only other person he loved. When he sees you for the first time in what seems like a long while, it takes a moment to register. Once he does realize it’s really you, a grin will slowly spread across his face. The man would never let you out of his sight ever again.
Edward Nygma
Oh, Ed. Finding out you’re alive makes him a stuttering mess. He’s speechless for once in his life, moving towards you slowly out of fear that it’s all just an illusion. His hands are shaky as he reaches out and cups your face in his hands. Pressing a kiss to your forehead, he pulls you close and holds you tighter than he ever has before. The poor man was worried sick and seeing you in front of him, holding you in his arms, any anger and fear he had melts away.
Bruce Wayne
Bruce had every resource he could get his hands on looking for you, praying that you were alive and well. Alfred had to keep the boy calm and tried to make him think rationally. It was late at night when there was a knock on the door, Alfred answering it--Bruce trailing behind him--to find you on the other side badly injured. His mouth drops as he watches the butler usher you in and gets to work patching you up. Once Alfred deems it okay for him to sit and converse with you, Bruce sits down at your side. He takes your hands in his and looks you in the eyes, “I was so worried, [F/N]. I wouldn’t sleep till I knew you were okay. Alfred said I was being ridiculous, I knew he was wrong and--” You’ll have to shut him up with a kiss to assure him you’ll be okay.
