Chapter 8: He Looks like a Potato
{Kids}: Jessica Fernandes- 8 Storm Fullbuster- 7 Nashi Dragneel- 7 Igneel Dragneel- 6
The four kids stood around the bed looking at the baby that had just been born. They all found him to look a little strange, however, most of them knew not to say anything. Storm was like his father and spoke without thinking, so when he said that the baby looked like a potato no one knew what to do.
“I guess he kind of does,” Wendy said, smiling at the Fullbuster boy. A wave of relief washed over Gray and Juvia, glad that Wendy had not been offended by their son.
“What are you talking about, Storm? He looks more like an alien,” Nashi said, starting a fight with her rival and friend. Lucy, not wanting to deal with that, pushed the two kids out of the room.
“I’m so sorry Wendy,” Lucy said, bowing her head in apology.
“It’s okay, I was kind of expecting this. They’re your guys’ kids, if you’re not causing problems they are.” Lucy could feel her face heating up from embarrassment and Natsu’s laugh of agreement didn’t help.
“Momma, why do babies look so weird?” Igneel asked, scrunching up his nose as he looked at the newborn.
“Hey looks so squishy, you should name him Squishy,” Jessica said, standing on her tiptoes to see the baby.
“We’re actually going to name him Ray,” Wendy said, moving the blanket away from her son’s face.
“That’s a lovely name you two,” Ezra remarked as she let the little Conbolt baby grab her finger.
“I don’t know Wen, Squishy sounds like an amazing name,” Romeo joked. Wendy just rolled her his at her husband as she handed ray to Erza to hold for a minute. The rest of the day was filled with the guild meeting the young boy.
So it mightve been obvious to y’all but I kinda just realized that each of the kids names starts with their fathers first letter in their names (Nasha=Natsu, Greige=Gray, Justin=Jellal)
So going off of this, I wonder what Mashima plans on naming the Gajevy babies? will their names start with G’s as well?? Idk maybe I’m trippin lmao but I wonder if he’s doing some sort of pattern here🤔
OTP Challenge Day 29: House Cleaning
OTP: Jerza
Rating: E
They had been gone for a week. Going on jobs wasn’t exactly usually, but week ones were rare now with Keon a part of their lives. They had stayed one extra night at their little hotel, maybe just to get a sliver of alone time before they returned home to their son. Jellal almost felt guilty about it. Erza had insisted that Natsu and Lucy would understand. Besides, Keon was probably having a great time, staying with his best friends, Igneel and Layla, after all.
The arrived back in Magnolia around the mid-afternoon. Erza with her ridiculous number of suitcases, a few bandages wrapped around her leg, and shoulder. Jellal with his arm in a sling.
“You really bruised that one up the other day, huh?” Erza frowned as they made their way through town towards their house. They would drop all of Erza’s stuff off and then move on to Natsu and Lucy’s to pick up Keon.
“It’s fine,” Jellal winced, adjusting his shoulder bag on his good arm, and turning back towards her. “Sorry I can’t really help with your bags.”
“It’s fine,” Erza shrugged, “I’m used to it. Maybe when we get back to the guild Wendy can look at your arm.” They finally made it back to their home near the park, Jellal pulled the key out from a hidden pocket in his boot unlocked the door and swung it open quickly to let Erza begin carrying her bags in, but he paused in the doorway, staring into the dim light of the house.
“I forgot we left it this way,” he murmured.
“What is it?” Erza frowned.
“It’s a disaster,” he sighed, gesturing towards their living room. Erza joined him in the doorway, eyeing the mess. Plates and cups had been left on the coffee table. Keon’s toys were spread out across the room. The stairs were littered with little clay soldiers. The sofa had a basket of clean laundry that needed folding. Jellal was afraid to see what the kitchen, just beyond the living room, had in store for them. Erza let out a deep sigh.
“We did leave in a hurry, didn’t we?”
Jellal dropped his bag to the side of the door and, carefully avoiding toys, moved to the coffee table to begin gathering the dirty dishes. “Maybe we should clean some of this up before Keon comes home?”
“I won’t clean up his toys for him,” Erza said firmly, “But…” she smiled a little, and Jellal’s heart felt light, “I’ll help you fold the laundry.” Jellal carefully stacked the dishes and carried them to the kitchen. There were some other dishes on the table. Keon’s favorite cereal had been left out, it was probably stale. There were crumbs all over the counter from toast.
“I’ll do the dishes,” Jellal called out to his wife.
“I’m just finishing the laundry!” Erza replied. They got to work separately. Jellal did what he could with his bruised arm, but that wasn’t much. He had to find Wendy. He hoped she hadn’t taken a job.
“Alright!” Erza came towards the kitchen from the living room, carrying the laundry basket on her hip. Just as she was reaching the threshold between the two room she tripped on several of Keon’s blocks.
“Erza! Watch out!” But Jellal was too late, and his wife stumbled forward, the laundry basket tumbling out of her grasp. Jellal reached forward to catch her, but with only one arm it was to no avail. They fell together, backwards. Jellal hit his head on the floor, Erza landed firmly on top of him, shaking his bruised arm. He let out a yelp of pain as they landed.
“J-Jellal!” Erza gasped, lifting herself up overtop of him. “I… I’m so sorry! Are you alright?!”
Jellal groaned. “I’ve had worse,” he smiled up at her. She had pulled her long red hair back into a ponytail when they had started their work. It suited her. He reached up to cup her cheek with his good hand, partly to ease her worries and partly to feel her warmth against his fingertips. She sighed with relief but shook her head.
“I’m so sorry. Is your arm alright?”
“Not any worse than it was before,” he laughed. For one moment he felt like they had somehow gone backward, to a past where neither of them wished to talk about their feelings, where they struggled to form the words that Jellal found himself saying so often to her now. I love you. But then Erza leaned over and brushed a kiss against his lips and he felt alive again.
“I’m glad you’re alright,” she murmured. Jellal sighed, and then kissed her again.
“You’re my everything, you know,” he said, brushing his thumb across her cheek, “You and Keon.”
“Where’d that come from?” Erza laughed, pulling herself off him, but Jellal could see the bright red blush that came to her cheeks. “We have to…” She gathered the laundry quickly and set the basket on the table, straightening some of the shirts as best she could. “We should go get Keon.” Jellal pulled himself up off the floor.
“Yeah, you’re right,” he sighed, “And then we should go to the guild to see if Wendy’s there.” Erza seemed frozen, her hands wrapped around one of his shirts in the laundry basket, and then she turned to face him, her jaw set, her cheeks bright red.
“Jellal?”
“Yeah?” He frowned.
“Y-you’re my everything too.”
They arrived at Natsu and Lucy’s house not soon after. Keon, Igneel, and Layla were playing in the yard. Lucy was watching them from the little hammock that was strung between two trees in their yard, she was writing in a little notebook. Aria, Natsu and Lucy’s youngest was playing in the grass. When Keon spotted them from a ways off he waved,
“Mom! Dad!” And then he was running for them, little arms held out wide. Erza crouched down and caught him in her embrace, holding him tightly with a laugh.
“Keon! We missed you! Did you have fun with Igneel and Layla?”
“Yes, but I missed you too!” He gasped, straightening his little glasses and pulling his dad into a hug. “What happened to your arm, dad?”
“That’s a long story,” Jellal smiled, ruffling his son’s purple hair. “But I can tell you tonight if you’d like.”
“Yes!” Keon threw his arms around both of them again. “Next time take me with you!”
Jellal smiled, and Erza laughed. Keon was looking up at them expectantly, waiting for an answer. “We’ll see,” Erza said.
“Come on! I’ve been practicing! I bet I could do some of what dad does now. Hey, maybe we can practice some when we get home?”
“Sure,” Erza nodded, ruffling her son’s hair, “Let's say goodbye to Layla and Igneel, and thank you to Lucy and Natsu first, okay?”
“Alright!” Keon dashed back towards his friends. Jellal reached out and took Erza’s hand. Together, they made their way back to the Dragneel House.

Chapter 10: Duck Tape
{Kids}: Jessica Fernandes- 8 Storm Fullbuster- 7 Nashi Dragneel- 7 Ella Redfox- 7
The Dragneels were getting ready to go on a family vacation and Nashi was so excited that she had run off to the guildhall to tell her friends. She told them about how she was going to a beach and amusement park, and wouldn’t be back for a whole month. She was about to say more when she felt herself being lifted up. Before she knew it, she was taped to one of the trees outside of the guildhall.
“What are you guys doing?!” Nashi yelled, kicking her legs in hopes of escaping.
“You’re not allowed to leave, so we are making sure you can’t move,” Ella said, sitting down in front of the tree.
“Don’t worry we will bring you food and play with you.” Storm said, smiling up at the Dragneel girl.
“This isn’t funny, I don’t want to be stuck to a tree,” Nashi whined, her eyes filling with tears. The other kids just ignored her and brought out some apple slices for her. By this point Nashi was having a full-on meltdown, thankfully for the little girl her parents had come to the guildhall to get her, and upon hearing the cries coming from his daughter Natsu ran to the back to rescue her.
“Hey stop trying to kidnap my daughter, you little brats!” Natsu yelled, causing the three kids to go running into the guildhall, screaming their heads off.
“Natsu, why are there three kids saying that you are going to kill them?” Lucy asked as she walked out, her question was answered when she saw the state her daughter was in. After untapping Nashi, Lucy led her back inside and had her tell the other kids that she forgave them. Natsu however did not forgive them and was now fighting Gray, Gajeel, and Erza.
“Well, I don’t know what I expected,” Lucy said, watching as Erza beat Natsu to a pulp.
I can’t stop posting about Jerza’s kid yall I’m so sorry🥹😩
