Chapter 264 -Jerza moment-

I don’t think I have ever done a Jerza post before, but this is one of my fav scenes in all FT. This scene actually had me shook when I first saw it! it’s still one of my favs. Now its because I see it as a top funny moment.

What happened to that engagement jellal ??

Side note: Jerza really has the most sexual tension out of the big 4 in my opinion.

Hi! So, first, you're my favorite Jerza blog. So having you send me an ask is really neat. Hello! Second - you are definitely not the only one who prefers GrayLu, because I definitely do. Honestly, Natsu has never really struck me as being interested in any sort of romance. And I really only like Juvia when she isn't around Gray. They went way too hard on the obsession with her. I will read fic with them as couples, however, because Jerza are my OTP, and there's not enough fic for me to be particularly picky. But if I got to choose the Fairy Tail couples, I would go Jerza, Gajevy, and GrayLu.

I think it would be very sweet. Erza would likely tease Gray and Lucy in the beginning, but by the end of the night they would all be relaxed and comfortable around each other.

Oh man I always have so much to say about jerza *clenches fist* but I will try to keep this short.

I am sorry I wish that I shared the same feeling as you but unfortunately I detest 100 Years Quest and therefore have no expectations from it since the very beginning. My feelings for jerza are a bit complicated lmao, in the sense that while I absolutely love them, I have made my peace with them when the FT ended. A fraction of it is basically whatever I have said here in this thread. 

But while I personally have abandoned my feelings about this whole thing a long ago, I want them to have some kind of concrete closure even if just for readers' sake. I love that their ending was kept open because it felt just right for them, to me. But how that open ending was handled wasn't ideal.  I mean, one might argue that the bridge scene in the sequel was to an extent a closure but I don't think it was enough? It felt rushed for a pairing built upon years of build-up. Like I have stated in the tweet, I am not a fan of big 4 but jerza is an exception since it is the only pairing with actual, realistic development.

I see them as characters who would have been happy even if not they are not with each other in the end. They would still love each other. And the kind of love depends on whatever the reader wants it to be. That's what the open ending was supposed to do but to get there, there are things between them that needed to be addressed. It is not necessarily the question of where they stand, but rather that while they are moving forward, they still have each other. So the whole brushing hair scene while being sweet, felt underwhelming because they didn't get any interaction. 

To sum it up, I personally have received my ending for them when FT ended (even if I have to fill it up with headcanons) since my fear is that the sequel will fuck it up. But the jerza fans who are still reading 100 Year Quest and have hope, I really hope you all will find your ending because honestly, you deserve better. Jerza deserves better.
