Day 14: Jessica

Oh Jess,,, You poor, poor girl. She's endured some of the worst physical trauma out of everyone in the game. From being dragged around the mountain, to being thrown down a mineshaft, she went through absolute Hell.

Jess was a huge part of the prank with Hannah, and there might be some sort of karma involved with her being dragged to the mines by Hannah. The prank obviously wasn't fair at all to Hannah, but neither was the brutal punishment Jess recieved. Honestly, I wish we got to see her show more remorse for the prank, save for her one conversation with Mike.

Unfortunately we didn't get to play much as her, which was a little disappointing, because her sequence at the beginning of the game with Mike was really fun, and I would have loved to see her interact more with everyone else. We only ever see her talk to Emily, Matt, and Mike, and the single peanut gallery instance with Josh. But with these little moments we got to play as her, we learned about how happy go lucky she is, and how this girl can make sex puns on the spot. What a gal. It honestly broke my heart seeing her completely crumble physically and mentally.

Jess is just really slept on in terms of gameplay, but she had a lotta potential to really be a critical character outside of her use for Mike's development, and the introduction to the wend*gos.

Jessica is… she has a whole lot of personality. She is definitely the sort of mean girl character that, y'know, at school she knows she’s pretty, she knows that boys like her, and she is going to use it to her advantage.
