As I make my way from LP to LP I realize the fandom (and I‘m including myself in this, because I‘ve caught myself doing the same sometimes) is so much harsher towards the girls and their choices/mistakes than the boys‘ and that just won‘t do for me

I really want to make a Four Daughters of Darkness appreciation post, but this week is already gonna be crazy without me adding one more thing on my to-do list

Day Three: Favourite “Villain”

I’ll admit, I hated Emily (and most of the cast) just like a lot of players the first few times I watched & played the game. But now I know the truth: Emily deserves so much better!!

Day 13: Emily

Oh boy,, everyone's favorite bitch. I know that back when the game first came out, everyone was pretty evenly split on whether or not they like her. I've never seen a single person neutral about her, you either love or hate her, and I personally love her. She stands out so much amongst everyone else with her with her short temperament and critical thinking. I just love women with smart tongues.

When playing through the game, it was also super fun to see how resourceful she was when on her own. Tearing her own shirt up to make herself a torch? That's what I love to fuckin see. On top of that, she braved the mines while being chased by a wendigo and someone she thought was out to get her and somehow managed to hold her own. I l o v e d the time she spent down there, seeing her and learning about the miners was one of my favorite plot points of the game.

Save for her character in game, I really, really loved her outfit. The tacky fur leather jacket? I eat that shit up. And I fucking l o v e her little bob, very stylish of her.

Emily is by no means a perfect character. She's a grade A bitch, who is just so much fun to love because of her horrible attitude.
