Hey dude. You’ve been really cannibalizing to feminism lately. Take a breather. I really like your blog, but I’m starting to feel a bit uncomfortable- I think *entirely unintentionally* you are mimicking MRA arguments, so maybe deep breaths?

I'm not sure what you mean. I've not said word one against feminism. I am defending feminism. I am a feminist.

I'm griping about people who call themselves feminists, but who exhibit all of the attitudes that MRAs accuse feminism of promoting, and actually impede progress. The MRAs then trot out those people and their statements so they can say, "See? Feminism equals man-hating!"

And it doesn't. That is my point. Ironically, nearly everything MRAs complain about is actually a function or result of the patriarchy, and if they realized that, they'd be working with us instead of against us.

But as long as we have bigots claiming to be feminists while preaching gender superiority, we're going to keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

You bring up a good point, which is that there's a difference between being violent and being physical in a way that your partner is okay with. Me and that guy I married get into poking and arm slapping fights sometimes, but it's not because we're abusive; it's because it's part of the way we show affection and stuff. So, no, you are not a piece of shit. And you reminded me that it's important to make the distinction. 

But, if you are a lady and are hitting/slapping your partner out of real anger and not out of an agreed upon way to be physical with one another, you are a piece of shit.
