"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God"
you’re looking deep
and you keep digging
in the wrong places
you won’t find it there
you’re full of determination
and were given the wrong tools
I speak, but you think it’s just the wind
you keep calling it a coincidence
eventually you’ll panic
because when you look up
you’ll see that you went too deep
you’ll try to climb your way out
but again, you were given the wrong tools
will you be ready to let Me help you

How I Celebrated My Good Friday
My family and I joined the Good Friday Procession in Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish church, General Santos City to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ. A lot of Catholic devotees joined the procession and tried to repent for their sins. The church conducted a mass first before the execution of the procession. After the mass, the people were asked to follow the life-sized images of The Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. We slowly walked our way around the Oval plaza holding a lighted candle until we reached the church. After the procession, we fell in line so that we could touch, kiss, and pray the life-sized image of Jesus Christ crucified in the cross. It was a really tiring but fulfilling day for me because I was able to bond with my family and be with the presence of our Lord Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Let us reflect on His sacrifice for our salvation as we prepare ourselves for the triduum! ✝️
Restored - Part 13
Casting Down Condemnation
Condemnation, guilt, and shame are relentless weapons that bombard the soul. Left unchecked, they will continually harass and torment the thoughts of God’s children and, through them, the enemy will rob the believer of their joy (see John 10:10). As long as the enemy can deceive us into thinking that we are still the person we used to be, we will behave like the person we used to be. We will always live up to or live down to what we believe about ourselves.
When Jesus died on the cross, he satisfied the legal obligation of sin. The bible calls this redemption. And we learn in Titus 2:14 that Jesus, “gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own…” So when the bible says “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” this is not just wishful thinking; it’s a spiritual fact. The price for our sin has been paid in full and the guilt of our sin has been removed. Praise the Lord! Being armed with this truth, we disarm every accusation of guilt, shame, and condemnation. We are free from our past because God says so. God said it; that settles it!
Believer, arming yourself with the truth of God’s word is essential to the wellbeing of your soul. It’s not an option. You will never overcome the lies of the enemy without carefully guarding your thoughts with the power of God’s truth. Ephesians 6:17 commands us to “take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Strap on that sword and overcome!
Romans 8:1-4 (NKJV) 8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,[a] who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Titus 2:14 (NKJV) 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
Ephesians 6:17 (NKJV) 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
PRAYER
God, I thank you for everything you have done to bring about my salvation and restoration.. I confess with my mouth that, because of Christ’s death on the cross, there is no condemnation upon me.. I am forgiven.. I am redeemed.. I am set free! Lord, help me to train myself to disarm every lie of the enemy.. Restore my thinking that I may live in victory! In Jesus name I pray.. Amen..
