MEMORY VERSE
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
INSPIRATIONAL REFLECTION
A battery functions to store power or energy. It has become an essential part of our daily lives, especially in the electronic devices we use every day — from making digital payments and searching for information to monitoring our health. In this modern age, the role of a battery is extremely important. No matter how sophisticated a smartphone, tablet, or watch may be, without power it becomes completely useless. This is why we need to make sure our battery remains sufficiently charged so that our daily activities can run smoothly.
In reality, it is not only the batteries in our electronic devices that need to be kept charged. As children of God living in this world, we also need to pay attention to the condition of our “spiritual battery.” Life moves forward and demands strength that comes not only from our physical body but also from our spirit. Our daily lives are never free from challenges, pressures, and tests. To face them well, we need a “spiritual battery” that is continually being recharged. Without enough spiritual strength, we will easily grow weary, lose focus, and even waver in our faith.
Daniel experienced this same reality in his time. In Daniel chapter 6, we read how the high officials and royal administrators tried to find a way to bring him down. They examined Daniel’s life closely, searching for any fault or mistake, but they could not find even the slightest flaw. Eventually, they realized that the only way to trap Daniel was through his faithfulness to God. Even when a decree was issued forbidding anyone from praying to any god or man except the king, Daniel still knelt down, prayed, and gave thanks to God just as he had always done (Daniel 6:10).
Daniel’s faithfulness in the face of pressure did not appear suddenly; it was the result of a spiritual life that was carefully maintained. His habit of seeking God every day kept his “spiritual battery” fully charged, enabling him to face every threat without losing his faith.
The same applies to us. A full spiritual battery is what we need to get through days filled with challenges, to resist sinful desires, and to stand firm when all kinds of pressures come our way. Therefore, start each day by “recharging” yourself in God’s presence – through quiet time, prayer, praise, worship, and meditating on His Word. Ask for strength and wisdom every day. Build intimacy with God, and come to Him to be refreshed, strengthened, or simply to rest and enjoy His presence.
