Has anyone thought of a reverse au for TRON yet?
Like, Jet would be Sam, Alan would be Flynn, Mercury would be Quorra, Lora would be Jordan, Tron would be Clu/2, Me3a would be the MSP and so on. So, Alan was the one to get fired and get sucked into the computer where he met the brave warrior Clu who helps him destroy Me3a, a corrupted program who dictated the fCon system of ENCOM. After Alan escapes, he proves that Kernal (the evil program guy in 2.0) stole his games (I think that Alan would make computer games rather than arcade games) and becomes in charge of ENCOM. He'd soon meet the laser operator Lora and marry her, after marrying her, he would make the Grid. He "borrows" Flynn's Clu program to protect the Grid. Not long, he'll make Tron 2 (since the first one would've derezzed in the first movie), a system administrator that would help to create the perfect system while Alan was busy. Lora would give birth to Jethro and take care of him while Alan was working and making the Grid. However, after a laser accident, Alan struggles to raise Jet while he's leading ENCOM and creating the Grid. Tron soon started to become impatient and grow a distaste for Alan, despite the user being responsible and serious (unlike Flynn originally). It all became worse when the ISOs came, making Tron's job a lot harder. Alan became fascinated by them and wanted to study them further.
The year is 1989 and Tron has finally had enough of Alan's lack of responsibility for the Grid. He attacks and scars Clu, letting Dyson (maybe Ram?) torture Clu to submit. However, a guard named Beck helps Clu escape and would become the first Renegade. Thousands of cycles pass, Jet is a mischievous computer programmer. After hacking ENCOM and jumping off the tower, Flynn meets up with Jet to tell him that he was paged by his father at his computer store (I'd imagine that Alan would own a computer store rather than an arcade). Jet investigates and gets sucked into the computer world like his father, he meets the program, Tron, who tells Jet that he's not his father. It doesn't take long before Jet is in a light cycle race with Tron who's clearly better. When it seemed like Jet had no other option than to use his disk against Tron, a vehicle bursts in and saves him. A program named Rinzler starts to chase them but stops when they escape to the Outlands. The mysterious driver reveals herself to be Mercury. She soon takes him to see his real father, Alan Bradley.
And so on, I'm not sure about who the other programs should be. But I think Cyrus would be Beck and vice versa, so instead of focusing on Clu and Beck, it's Cyrus and Clu. Clu would probably act like an idiot and be stupid, and Cyrus is more practical and uptight (like Tron). So I want to keep their personalities different like Tron and Beck. I'm talking about the first Clu btw since he wouldn't have derezzed since he's basically Tron in this universe.

lora cooks. it feels fitting for someone with her ability to multitask to be able to handle the stress of a full-fledged meal without breaking a sweat. she definitely took a culinary class or two in college “just for fun,” and studied abroad in both italy and france when she completed all her other main classes early.
alan bakes. there’s just something about soft-spoken Dr. Bradley with his sleeves rolled up covered in egg and flour and sugar as he bakes another batch of cookies. he’s known for all kinds of things – cheesecakes, pastries, even the occasional creme brulee – but chocolate chip cookies are a staple in the household. birthdays, breakups, promotions, demotions…you name it, alan’s cookies are probably nearby
to add to this: despite having quite possibly the worst immune system known to man, alan still adheres to the main tenent of baking: always lick the beaters.
he passes this ideaology onto his children, who he always summons as soon as the mixing is done. jet is always super sneaky about it, but elanor constantly alerted her mother to the present danger (or at least attempted to. alan always got her to shush.)
teenage jet is definitely caught licking the beater once by his mother, to which he replies by attempting to shove the entire thing in his mouth at one time and slink away.

since i LOVE and live by the headcanon that Jet Bradley is Beck’s user, i wanted to finally have a go at redesigning Jet a bit to resemble Beck a bit more! it was an interesting process and he looks.... a lot like Maes Hughes, but im actually p happy with the result! bonus Legacy and Off Grid Becks for reference as well :D
A while back (like 2011 while back), when I was totes into TRON/TRON 2.0 (and that's kinda really embarrassing in retrospect, honestly, but meh), I was looking for someone to "dreamcast" as Jethro Bradley and someone suggested Chris Evans from The Losers. Naturally, I was like, "holy shit, best suggestion ever", because, damn, he really does look like Jet Bradley if he was made flesh and blood. The only logical conclusion, of course, was to use Colin Ford (little Sam Winchester) because he played a younger version of Nick Gant (Chris Evans' character in PUSH) and I was on cloud nine, writing up all kinds of Jet headcanon and re-writing TRON Legacy (because its still horrible as fuck when you subtract Olivia Wilde, Daft Punk and the FX).
