If I’m not mistaken tho he makes hail hydra jokes on his twitter so like„, questionable behavior right there
he actually made some pretty shitty jokes about the whole thing with tori. so no i don't approve of ALL of his behavior.
however, like I just discussed with a friend, the larger problem here is that he is not being grilled by interviewers about having killed victoria hand. they couldn't fucking care less. i guarantee you that the people booing him aren't booing him for murdering tori or his questionable behavior wrt melinda/skye.
no, he's just a 'bad guy' and therefore he's being booed. having a discussion with him about the nature of his occasionally problematic jokes or whatever is one thing. that's a callout. but interviewers misinterpreting grant and ignoring his background of abuse and random strangers booing him doesn't really do much. especially when 90% of what they're booing him for isn't even his fault.
by all means call him out on twitter for his crappy behavior wrt jokes about victoria/hail hydra stuff. but there's a difference between that and what's going on with the whole booing thing. does that make sense? (sorry its a little late.)

It’s not bullying but like„, not good. And yeah, the fandom ignores the (attempted and failed) social commentary wrt Slytherin. Like, we need to acknowledge this stuff
Now that I have a better understanding of what goes into fandom Sorting, I think I get what you mean.
The social commentary is one of the clumsier aspects of the series. The first book in particular has a very black and white sense of good and evil that I think was standard in children's literature at the time it was published. The first book not necessarily derivative, but still firmly within the genre conventions of British children's lit. The larger than life adult characters that are almost cariactures and especially the acts of cruelty by the Dursleys reminded me a lot of Roald Dahl's stories. When JKR's writing and her intended audience matured as the series continued, I think she tried to address the more problematic aspects of her initial world building through the social commentary, but it didn't quite work.

like they have no choice but to be evil, which is how you create evil people???? like its bad. and in the fandom, if youre in slytherin, youre basically trash and also evil. again, not passing any kind of judgement, but they are distinctly not liked
I agree with that. One of my major criticisms of Harry Potter is that it has a very black and white portrayal of morality, particularly in the first four or five books. JK Rowling did try to insert some internal criticism of the House system and wizarding culture later on, but it became obvious that a lot of the world building and character development was a work in progress throughout the series, so the results are uneven.
Again, I'm not familiar with the current state of Harry Potter fandom, but I don't support bullying, so if that's going on, that is bad. That being said, if you (hypothetical you) identify as a Slytherin but can't handle being told that canonically Slytherin was founded on racist and classist principles, not just 'ambition,' well, I have little sympathy for you tbh.
Sidenote: It just occurred to me that some of my followers don't know a time before Harry Potter. My mind, it is blown.
