hey nisha! so i started sleepy hollow and i'm already falling for ichabod/abbie *_* but i don't want to sit through seasons and seasons of bamon treatment again, so i have to ask- do you know if they ever actually get together or does the show just tease mercilessly?
oh no oh nooo ho nonon oho no nooo baby
Season 1 was so good, so I get the optimism, like I feel nostalgic for that optimism haha. But honestly, their ending was even worse than Bonnie/Damon’s, and specifically it was beyond terrible for Abbie. I know a lot of us probably won’t ever forgive them for it.
I won’t give you spoilers of course, but… I’ll just say, don’t go into it hoping for Abbie and Ichabod to be romantically canon. If you enjoy them, you’ll get some good moments and see more and more of their potential (”tease mercilessly” is a good way to describe it), but… yeah. Sorry :(
oh, sorry about that! how about arya + brontide :)
The low rumbling of distant thunder.
It sounds like thunder, whatever it is. Thunder in the distance, thunder on the horizon, thunder and storm and dark and danger. It’s not thunder, though. Thunder comes in summer, when the heat is high and the sky over the moors is bright and marred with tall dark clouds. Arya remembers them clearly. She remembers running in the rain-mud with Bran.
It sounds like thunder, but it’s not, and the wolves shift next to her. Nymeria sniffs the air, and Arya reaches up to rest one hand on her wolf’s neck, the other resting on Needle’s hilt at her side. The metal is cold, and the wolf is warm, and the sky is not bright and marred with tall dark clouds. It is night, and it’s been weeks since she’s seen a glimpse of brightness that doesn’t come from a torch. Sometimes the wind blows the snow overhead and it looks like stars, but Arya hasn’t seen stars in weeks either. Perhaps there are clouds, and I just can’t see.
She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. Her nose is not so strong as the wolf’s, but she can still smell smoke, or rotting flesh. But she doesn’t smell anything at all and it sends a prickle up her spine. Something is wrong. Something is very wrong, and Arya’s hand tightens in Nymeria’s fur because she knows, knows that the storm is coming for true now.
You seem so passionate and into what you do! How did you know that grad school in literature was the path for you? I'm a political science major, sophomore in college, and I'm not even sure if its the major I want to continue with after this year's election. I feel nauseous thinking about it, and I'm not sure if its temporary or if I really do need to consider a major change. How did you know that english was the field that you truly wanted to pursue for the long term, ups and downs included?
I think it all comes down to the fact that I couldn’t see myself doing anything else and being happy. Literature’s always been my great passion. I’ve tried doing other things to make my family happy (see my year lost to studying IR in undergrad), but I was deeply miserable doing so. I spiraled into depression, became bitter, couldn’t imagine the future, and started losing my hair… and then I failed. I went back to studying literature a few months after and it felt like breathing again. I haven’t turned back since, and even through the months of my burn out in early-mid 2016, I knew literature was the thing for me… whether it was through academia or not.
I hope you find a path that works for you! <3
bonnie really died nisha? seriously? like, 100% confirmed? how?? :(
Anonymous said:you really think bonnies dead? I felt like that would be too obvious at the end of this episode.
It’s possible it was a fake-out on the writers’ part. Definitely not what I was wanting to see though. My own fault I guess, for thinking this episode might be enjoyable.
