Anyone want a "raised by the Bad Batch AU" starring Kanan, Cal, and Omega?

This art was inspired by M4R4N14MH's In my Way over on AO3!

And the story itself has inspired me to write an "unofficial" sequel, but instead of writing the actual sequel (or anything else for that matter), I drew this!

Actual fun facts:

Cal's outfit is inspired by an outfit from the Jedi: Fallen Order concept art!

Yes, Omega is holding Crosshair's firepuncher.

Spoiler for the fic fun facts:

Cal and Kanan are wearing pieces of Bad Batch armor to honor them. Cal's says, "For Hunter". Kanan says "for Echo". On the firepuncher, Omega has inscribed "For Crosshair".

So far, I feel like the timeline for this story would be 8 years after Order 66, so 11 BBY. This would make Kanan 22-years-old, Cal at 20-years-old, and Omega 19-years-old*.

They deserve to be friends in cannon and that is the hill I will die on, but until that happens, I guess I have to make do.

This was supposed to be a full blown poster for my fic, Secrets of the Buried, on AO3, but then I was like......... "I don't want to add more people right now."

Maybe I will eventually, but for now, it's just the Master, his Padawan, and the adorable droid they have joint custody over.

Cal is wearing pieces of clone armor. I can imagine that, after two years, Omega went, "Master, you need armor, you're always getting shot at."

Omega is wearing an armor mix of Mando beskar and Clone duraplast. Namely, her chest piece was designed with Mando inspirations specifically. Her left vambrace is Hunter's, vibroknife included, and she has one of Tech's pouches from his S2 fit!

The story takes place two years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order (which I headcanon as a journey that took a little under a year), so, in 11 BBY!

So, how do they get to this point?

For Cal, I think if, instead of being taken in by Prauf after the Jedi Purge, if he was like, turned in by the Scrapper Guild, he would have became an Inquisitor.

For Omega, it's if the Batch never came back for her after Onderon. Kept by the Kaminoans, when Nala Se was transferred to Tantiss, so was she.

What else is that, I feel like, Cal would HATE working with her, he would HATE the clones (because Order 66 trauma), so their partnership is out of situational necessity more than anything.
