love is real and it’s saturday morning sunlight spilling onto the bathroom tiles as the faucet drips and ur rubbing lotion into ur face and it’s spring and the love of ur life is waiting in the kitchen for u and there’s a peeled clementine on the counter and u haven’t flinched in years
i think my main issue with the way people have been acting like putting their pronouns in their bio is “activism” (other than the fact that it is not..) is that it forces ppl in the closet to either 1) out themselves or 2) misgender themselves. like maybe i don’t want to open myself up to potential transphobia and maybe i’d rather not have my generally bigoted parents to see that i’m not cis or maybe i just don’t feel comfortable telling others..... so then in order to protect myself i have to misgender myself? like i get that it’s meant to help people refer to others with the correct pronouns but i feel like it has evolved into something very performative for cis people and has left us in a very uncomfortable dilemma.
the only glowup that actually matters
