“Hi, babe.” jaebum sighed as he fell back against the bed.
Jina smiled at his tired voice, watching as he got comfortable and ready to spend the next few hours with her.
“hello,” she sang lightly, flicking on the lamp beside her so he could see her better.
“where are you?” jaebum asked, not recognising the background.
“im in Sungmin’s house, hiding in the living room because they are all sleeping upstairs.” she spoke quietly.
“how is everyone?”
jaebum wished he could be there with her, snuggled up on the couch. she had only been gone a couple weeks while he was at his busiest with the comeback. though she was merely a 45 minute drive away from home she still felt worlds away from him.
he also missed her family, he hadn’t seen them in so long. he missed seeing how jina got so happy when they were all together.
“they are good, sungmin was so disappointed when you didn’t show up with me and mum and dad have taken up ballroom dancing, they’ve been showing me all week.” she giggled, hiding half her face behind a blanket.
“seriously,” jaebum raised his eyebrows surprised, “are they any good?”
“well, we might not have any competition yet, dad has two left feet.”
“oh my, really, how are you his child?” jaebum laughed at the image in his head.
“i honestly don’t know, he’s really bad,” she laughed with him, “anyway, how are you?” jina gave him a warm smile.
“tired, very tired.” he ran his free hand over his face letting out a sigh. “and missing you.”
“baby, i’ll be home in a couple days and i’ll give you a massage, how does that sound?” she gave him a sly wink.
jaebum groaned loudly, stressing out his body on the bed, “can’t wait.”
jina laughed, “can you even see me behind all that hair?”
jaebum shoved his hair back, letting jina see his beautiful, bare face. “it gets kind of wild after i shower.”
“if you go into the second drawer on my night stand i have a headband you could use.” she offered.
“and you’re just telling my now?! i’ve been struggling for weeks while this little guy has been sitting snug as a bug.” jaebum complained whilst fishing out the head band and putting it on.
it was a fluffy one with cute little ears, jina almost melted into a puddle, “you look so cute! you’re right i would have told you earlier if i knew you’d look this good.”
she made sure to take many screenshots while they talked for the rest of the night.
