Made a quick reference sketch for another character.

Honestly, I still don't know what to think about him. Got an idea from a friend to create a "killer but actually a really nice and gentle guy". Not really easy to work with such a hard contrast and even harder to design a character around it. I still don't really like his design, but eh, it's something, so I might as well just hang it up here, no? This time, there is no story accompanying him. At least not yet.

Okay, so I just watched Jiden and I have to admit...I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON

Like, I know that the cast moved to another Honmaru after some incident?? But not about WTF HAPPENED. Absolutely no context whatsoever.

The cast trying to avoid a meeting between Manba and Chougi was just hilarious, I was laughing my butt off. 

Hasebe and Yamabushi Kunihiro being a comedic due while trying to figure out what to tell Manba.

Also MANBA!!! He looked so cute doing the head tilts but he was also so badass during the fight scenes. As expected of my first sword! *swoons*

But seriously. What happened between Mikazuki and Manba?? Why was my golden boy crying for Jiji and where is the old man???

Someone please explain??? I am so confused.

From stage “Touken Ranbu Jiden - Hibi no ha yo chiruramu“

Just a bunch of silly swords comming together in a Touken Ranbu Hanamaru style stage. Contrary to my expectations, I really enjoyed it. I totally agree that some characteres are totally useless and some scenes could have been left outside, but all in all it’s a really good stage if you need something to cheer you up and laugh. Every stage with different cameos (we have Sayo, Honebami, Fudo and Kasen) are funny and different in their way.

This is only one is from the last performance with Kasen Kanesada as cameo.

Translation of Aramaki Yoshihiko's Curtain Call Speech for the Last Show of Tousute Jiden (08/04/19)

I feel like I had to share this with everyone, because of how important this curtain call is to me. Within Makki's entire 2.5D career, I'm pretty sure this is the first time he has ever cried in a curtain call. Much of it I feel can be attributed to the story itself, and to the feelings that has piled up in all 60 runs of the show, and the fact that there is a big chance he might not be part of the next Tousute.

I’m Aramaki Yoshihiko, who plays Yamanbagiri Kunihiro. Thank you to everyone who spent their time with us here in Stellar Ball and to everyone watching the live viewing today. A total of 60 performances for Butai Touken Ranbu Jiden: Hibi no Ha Yo Chiruramu. Within these 60 performances, the cast and the staff, and even those who are not in this stage right now — Naya Takeru who played Sayo Samonji, Kitagawa Naoya who played Honebami Toushirou, and Shiina Taizo who played Fudou Yukimitsu — we all still carry the feelings of those three within us who are standing in front of you. I’m sure those three all wanted to be in this last show with everyone too, but right now we will do their greetings in their stead. With this story and all of Tousute’s history up until now, I have been able to perform in 231 performances. Within all those performances, a lot of things have piled up; not just the battles, but also the everyday life [of swords], have become important things to me. Once again, I would like to express my feelings of gratitude. Suzuki Hiroki who plays Mikazuki Munechika, who has has entrusted to me the position of zachou*, Since the very beginning in Kyouden, Saien, Giden, Gaiden, Jyoden, Hiden and up until now, I have been able to overcome all this because of those who have supported me like the staff, But even more so it is because of the people who love and support Butai Touken Ranbu. Thank you so much.

Today, the truth is that the moon is a crescent moon*, I think that it’s such a wonderful thing. And I thought the same too during Gaiden, That during the most important times, And during times when I’m suffering, When I can’t keep it all in my chest, I look up to the moon and think “Mikazuki is right there. That Mikazuki…Mikazuki becomes my power.” [He starts crying here.] Yes, in order to become the sun that illuminates the moon, I will embark on my journey (Kiwame). Yamanbagiri Kunihiro will go on his journey in order to become stronger. That’s why, from Mikazuki too, and from Gokotai too, the strength I received from the chestnuts and from everyone here, I promise that I want to make a Yamanbagiri Kunihiro who has grown to be much stronger appear again in front of everyone. So from here on too, I’m counting on your continued support for Butai Touken Ranbu.

*mikazuki = crescent moon *zachou - is the “main” character of a stage play and essentially the person/actor who guides all the other characters/actors.
