someone just said "it's pronounced formerly jifted child" on here and I can't find it anymore, I wanted to say what the fuck at them

Today after ergotherapy, I went into this store mostly because it was really cold outside and I wanted to warm up for a moment. At first, being in there made me sad for inexplicable BPD reasons ... but then I came across this display. Which had a sign that read “the perfect gift” (yes, in English). And because my brain is Very Odd, I mispronounced this in my head as I read it ... saying it like “the perfect jift” thanks to that thing where someone was mocking people who pronounce “gif” like “jif” ... and when I realised what had just happened, I could not stop laughing. Ten minutes later I was still holding back giggles. I had been SAD before. Very sad. But suddenly I turned into a Visibly Crazy Person in public ALL THANKS TO THE ETERNAL DEBATE ABOUT THE PRONOUNCIATION OF “GIF”.
I cannot believe this.
Me: *opens gift*
Me: thank you for my gift.
Brother: it's pronounced jift.
Me: geT OUT
the most amusing thing about that “uh actually its pronounced jift” post is that its pretty close to how the swedish pronounce “gift” but also “gift” means either married or poison
