A Gintama chapter a day keeps the ending away...Lesson 614

MY 10 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN LESSON 614:

Pardon the cussing, and I must say, the anime (episode 348) actually made Zura’s reaction to the Elizabeth reveal even funnier. 

1) Out of context, it’s as if they were two lovers forced to part ways. I absolutely don’t ship them but I thought it was amusing.

2) Shijaku and Enshou actually met cute when they were young.

3) It’s such a cool moment, I just wish Prince Hata wasn’t...well...him.

4) My reaction was pretty much, what the holy fuck??

5) Seriously, how did Eli hide all of that under there all this time???? And why was her appendage coming out from the bottom and not like topside where her forehead is???

6) Elizabeth channeling Kenshin Himura.

7) Again, I was like, what the holy fuck???

8) Jiiya is seriously penis obsessed.

9) Awww!

10) And just like that, Earth gained a new ally...which, in retrospect, was indeed game-changing moment.

SHIPS TALLY:

Zura x Elizabeth: I wish we had time to just see the conversation Zura had to have had with Elizabeth after that earth-shattering reveal. I wanted to see him come to grips with Eli’s identity and her great big gigantic mosaic. Just this drama alone was enough for a spin-off series centered around these two.

Shijaku x Enshou: totally shippable when they were young...still kinda shippable now that they’re older...too bad Enshou spent most of the time being a world-destroying asshole. 

Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just so freaking amazing.  It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s generosity that I can enjoy Gintama on yet another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.
