Uncommon yoi pairings prompt: jijichuchu (aka Guang Hong x Phichit)
If you ask Phichit about their first kiss, he’ll tell you about Skate America, when he won gold and Guang Hong took silver. Actually, he’ll tell you about the night after that, when they struggled through the streets of Chicago too young to get intoxicated and had to figure out other ways to entertain themselves.
He’ll tell you about the enormous bulk warehouse store they found that they just had to go into, because how could everything in America be so big? Phichit describes the teddy bear inside as “the size of my grandma’s house” but spends more time talking about Guang Hong’s face when he saw it.
“I’ll get it for you,” Phichit had chirped, after about their thirtieth selfie with the giant thing.
They were each lounging on a different side of the bear, staring at each other over its enormous belly.
“Why do you love bears so much?”
“They’re sweet!” Guang Hong had stuttered. “Sweet and cute and good for cuddling.”
Well, Phichit could hardly deny that.
Then Phichit will tell you how confused he was about Guang Hong’s blush. It wasn’t that embarrassing, was it, liking teddy bears? It wasn’t until Guang Hong’s face was suddenly much closer, his lips delicate and warm, that Phichit realized:
Guang Hong hadn’t been talking about teddy bears at all.
Now of course, if you ask Guang Hong about their first kiss, his eyes will shine and he’ll flick open his phone before you can blink. Nestled in his favorites folder is a selfie from his senior debut. Phichit’s holding the phone, other arm around Guang Hong’s shoulder ending in a peace sign. Phichit’s kissing Guang Hong’s cheek, but with his eyes on the camera, and Guang Hong’s smile couldn’t be brighter.
