Hey y’all! 

Sorry I’ve been so quiet over here. I’ve sorta slowly been migrating over to using instagram and twitter mainly but there does seem to be a bit of a community here so I thought I’d post some things I did recently.

Just been a lot of experimenting honestly. Trying out pen and ink and now some colored pencil. Seeing how it all mixes with digital art.

Been updating my portfolio and wanted to add some lil fourishes with my ocs. It took a few attempts to get a pose I thought was fun and energetic enough but I think each of these has something I like about them.

Jinnjer and Maestro Mayhem for the talented @merriway. It was just going to be Jinnjer, but I couldn’t find any color references for her. It didn't feel right handing out a half made gift art, so I was happy to add the maestro as well.

Was messing with colors the other day with my puppets and toons. 

One of these days I’ll manage to find a finished design for kotton....one day.

But have all these stuffed little gremlins in the meantime. 

So many things I wanna draw but I gotta try to belt out some commissions too. I want to draw me toons.

Djimmi has a big fan.

You bet if Jinnjer was in Cuphead’s world she’d be a huge admirer of the big red Jinn and want to talk to him about everything magic.

Changed Jinnjer’s pants here cause her normal color pants matched Djimmi’s a little too closely.

JINNJER

Honestly these are just a bunch of random fun silly thoughts for this character. One thing I like to think about is shes very cat like due to her sphinx side so she is very curious and get herself into all sorts of precarious situations. She also likes being a little shit and will try to cute her way out of trouble. While she can be tricky she is also somewhat of a dumbass and falls for stupid tricks like laser pointers which is probably why she got stuck in a puppet body to begin with.

Her relationship with @toonboops Jack tends to be pushing his buttons and trying to get him to break from his rock solid cheerful persona. At least until he actually gets mad at which point Jinnjer will bail so fast. 

On the show I imagine Jinnjer hosts a small segment utilizing riddles to teach the audience about baking. She also sometimes help teach lessons but her curriculum tends to be a little unconventional. She’d tell you shes teaching the kids what they really need to know and what school aint giving them. Off the show she sometimes like to bake... dubious treats. Ahem.

We also have some cameos like the wonderful Merrilee! Who I will try to draw more often.

Also there are some human Jinnjer doodles that are not canon but still fun nonetheless.

Someone separate these two immediately or the jinn jokes will continue. 

Quick idea I had before I had to bed and wanted to doodle it out so I dont forget.

Lets start with K. Kotton!  As you can see I’ve yet to finalize K. Kotton’s design but I feel like Im getting close. Its mainly deciding between big eyes or small eyes at this point.  Kotton is fun and silly but I imagine like many toons back in the day they know how to be quite the little shit too. Half their shenanigans with Djimmi would probably be just them trying to make one another laugh at anything and everything. Kotton is also the type to use up a summon slot and waste MP so they can get their best bud summon a coffee.  Also no matter what organization Peanut may join he isn’t scaring anyone.

There is a little overlap here with Jinnjer’s pages and vice versa. Here we have Jinnjer vs their mortal enemy the red dot.
