A little bit of info.... I grew up listening to country and rock. My dad would listen to bands like Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, etc.. and my mom + grandparents would listen to Dolly, Shania, The Oak Ridge Boys, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, etc. When I hit around 12, I listened to bands like Black Veil Brides, Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens, Asking Alexandria, Falling in Reverse, Bring me the Horizon, etc. I was bullied so heavily for liking these bands that I just wanted to fit in. I threw away all of my band tees and by the time I was 15 I listened to only country music (I still love it) and dressed like every other basic teenage girl. When I went to college, my anxiety became horrific and I had to go live at home again. Within the past few months, I have rediscovered these bands and the love I have for rock music. It saved my life when I was a kid. I would not be here today if I did not have that outlet. Black Veil Brides is my favorite band, and I am so grateful for the friends and support I have gotten from the bvb army. So music is a go to when my anxiety gets bad. I feel like I am not alone when I listen to these bands that I grew up with!
