💰: do you plan to do a post-grad?

i’m thinking about it! idk if i want to go to grad school right after i’m done with my final year of undergrad, though. i kinda wanna take a year off after i graduate and explore other options? honestly, thinking about the future in general scares me a bit, ahaha. we’ll see!

🌗: are you a morning or night studier?

a bit of both! i definitely prefer studying in the morning if i can, but i often end up studying at night.

- Favourite piece to play/perform on principal study? i’m a sucker for sonatas, so right now my favorite is Frank Violin Sonata

24/100 ft. A performance from a few weeks ago and today's threadbare bujo spread. It's Week 8 of my summer; though I've had some highs and lows so far this break, I haven't been as rigorous to keeping a schedule (today was the first time in a few weeks that I've added anything to my bullet journal). Instead of being upset and giving up, I'm going to renew myself and work towards my summer goals, despite everything. It's okay to get off track as long as one moves forward.

1. If you could visit a fictional location, which would it be?

hmm somewhere with talking animals. would be cool to like, ask them stuff. 

2. What is your ideal breakfast?

open-faced sandwich (one slice of bread with a sunny-side up egg and pepper bacon) and a cup of warm coffee while camping in a forest; or breakfast sausage, toast with apple cinnamon jelly, scrambled eggs and tabasco sauce, and a mimosa, sitting outdoors on a patio overlooking something nice.. like the ocean. (i really like breakfast/brunch can’t you tell)

3. What is your favourite soundtrack from any form of media?

pacific rim soundtrack. it makes me feel badass. also the soundtrack from wicked--it’s just lovely

4. What are some words that you may pronounce differently?

it’s goh-dEE-va chocolates u heathens, not goh-deye-va 

5. And what do you like to eat with your rice?

everything (i’m chinese, so yeah, pretty much everything)

6. Do you have a sports team that you support?

not really, but i do pay attention to the phoenix suns and arizona state univ’s teams bc hometown and alma mater

7. How do you like your coffee or tea? If you don’t drink either, what is your favourite drink?

black tea and black coffee. i absolutely do not enjoy cream or sugar in my coffee, unless it’s the very occasional lattee or frap. yep, i’m one of those ~~purists~~

8. Is there a book that profoundly impacted you (for better or for worse)? Which one?

hmm the only one i can think of is Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer by Siddhartha Mukherjee. I read it before grad school and it propelled me even further into the field of cancer biology

9. What font do you use when typing up papers/reports/what-have-you?

Arial 11 pt, with 0.5″ page margins. it’s the standard format used for NIH grants and i’ve just started doing it for everything. 

10. What was the most effective / eye-catching advertisement that you have seen?

that one thai life insurance commercial bc my god does it make me cry every single damn time and reminds me to always try to help. bc a small thing for me may mean the world for someone else. 

11. Who do you admire?

my past PI, my current PI, and everyone who’s had to face adversity but became badass anyway
