It was raining. Raining quite heavily, Y/N smiled as she looked out of the window, looking at people hurrying off to their homes, little kids jumping around in puddles of water, couples sharing an umbrella and holding close to each other, old people complaining.. she sighed a breath of relief as she sat on the floor of her small apartment that she brought with her own hard-earned money while working at Babel though she quit after it all ended, it was small but it was home.

“Sweetie, what will you have for dinner?” Y/N's mother asked as she went inside the kitchen, looking through the ingredients. “Anything is fine, eomma.” Y/N said as she got up and went to her mom, back-hugging her as she started preparing for supper.

“Mom, can I ask you something?” Y/N asked shyly, “Anything, dear.” Her mom replied as she smiled. “Mom, how did you confess your feelings to dad?” Y/N asked as she looked over at her mom. “Oh dear.. Your father was such a coward that he couldn't even confess to me but well, I didn't do much. I just gifted him a bouquet of flowers and screamed that I liked him, that's all, honey.” Y/N laughed, should she do the same..? Should she confess the same way to him? Y/N wondered as she puffed out, walking off to sofa and sitting down on it, putting her knees to her chest.

“What's troubling you, honey?” Y/N's mom asked as she looked over at her anxious daughter, “Do you have someone in your mind?” Her mom smiled knowingly to herself as she put the gas to low and went to sit with her daughter. “Who is it..?” She asked as she gently patted her daughter's head.

“It's.. It's no one.” Y/N lied, biting her lips, not sure if she should tell her mom though she never lied to her mom before, she felt terrible for not being able to tell her but she couldn't help it, she was afraid.

“Ok, but remember one thing, my love. Don't hesitate for too long, if you do, you'll only regret what you could have done..” Her mother said as she gently kissed her forehead and went off to the kitchen.

Y/N thought hard about what her mom just told her, it was true.. she would regret if she didn't tell him how she felt, faintly recalling how she met Vincenzo Cassano.

She smiled to herself, remembering how he fought of the two drunk men when they tried to touch her, how he said to back off in his deep Italian accent, it sends shivers down her spine everytime she recalls it.

Finally standing up, she was determined. She will tell him how she felt, after all they have gone through from the beginning till bringing down the chairman of Babel, she knew that if she didn't tell her feelings, she will regret it so off she went as she hurriedly put on her usual casual pastel skirt and a white bow top.

Taking the umbrella, she went out of her appartment and out on the road, running as she could feel adrenaline rushing through her veins, the excitement she felt when they brought down Babel, when he smiled at her, when he caught her when she almost fell down the stairs, when he saved her when she was held hostage by Han Seok, when he praised her for the work she would have done. Whenever he would look at her, it was enough for her heart to start beating fast.

She stopped as she reached the place, Jipuragi Law Firm, she smiled to herself once as she could hear the voice of Vincenzo inside the room, as her fingers held on to slide the door, she stopped abruptly.

“Villains never break up because they're tenacious even when they love.” Vincenzo said as Hong Cha Young smiled before kissing him again. ( I know this scene didn't take place at the firm but just imagine, please! )

Tears flooded her eyes as she saw them both kiss from the little gap of the slide door. She slide it completely closed as she turned her back, walking back slowly, tears rolling out of her eyes as her heart broke into millions of pieces, the excitement, the adrenaline, all replaced with pain and hurt, her hand coming up to cover her mouth, crying onto her sleeve as she stopped right outside the plaza, looking back once for the last time.

The thousand words of confession that she so wished to tell him left unspoken. “I'm sorry but I love you..” She whispered before walking away in the rain, perhaps, never to be found again.
