Trying out new methods in photoshop because WHATEVER WHATEVER I DO WHAT I WANT
Finally finished the clothing reference for Toulouse! Weird thing? Toulouse isn't actually the main character of the story, but he's the one with the more historically-accurate outfit. It's one of many metaphors stuffed into their story, especially contrasting ideals of realism and practicality (Toulouse) versus spirituality and liberation (Yvette). One's costume represents connections to history and sociological connection/community, whereas the other represents spontaneity and exploration.
Funtimes with costume desiiiiiiiiiiiiign yaaaaay~
Some scrapped pictures I was going to use on my animal crossing tumblr, but whenever I tried putting them to color, they always came out looking crappy so I scrapped 'em. *shrug* Maybe if I tried them again I'd like them, but for now I'll consign them to scrapped sketches.
Felt like drawing something summery to get my spirits up, and yes, YET AGAIN Ickle Muse..what can I say? She is my muse, after all.
Weird anatomy because it's chibi and I CAN'T BE TAMED
I'm working on a new reference for Isaiah, but I can't decide which patterning to give him. Given the fact that he's an australian shepherd mix, which coloration do you guys think I should go with?
Consider:
Isaiah's personality: He's really open, sweet, and genuine, though he has a checkered background (he was a teenage pregnancy, dad's gone)
Future redesigns: If I go with the Merle version, I can add more merle coloring to the rest?
This is more of a question of which color scheme to choose, especially for the face. Any preference?
Just a thought that came up from hanging with my parents. I need a t-shirt for this.
I know I already posted this on the Ickle Muse blog, but I feel this one's a solid enough piece on its own to post here. <3 I'm really quite proud of this one! Definitely one to include in the portfolio once I fix a few things.
