I will say, despite that we're used to the idea that Disney has more money than god, as I understand it, D+ (and ANY relatively new streaming platform, this is just the way it works in the early years) is massively, massively unprofitable and so the shows don't actually have as much money as we might think. I mean I'm not arguing "poor broke Disney ):" and mileages vary on this, so I'm genuinely not trying to talk you out of your feelings! But I do suspect that it's more complicated than we know just from seeing that this is a Disney series.
that is super fair, and i totally concede that they could be working with a significantly smaller budget than we think! even with a smaller budget, though, there are so many things which just look so cheap to my (admittedly, untrained) eye, it genuinely makes me angry lmao. a small budget does not mean you can't quality control your shit. now, a small shooting schedule, on the other hand...
