I have to agree, we have to see for the next members. We really don't know the details and insides of their situation, but from what we can observe so far, I say it's interesting. Jk definitely has a a different type of contract. And Hobi + Suga have also gotten a lot of push and promotions, especially Hobi but I think if Suga hasn't been able to post any of his recent work it's because of the dui scandal, because he had a project for a movie, a collab and other productions including his show, so I'm guessing they had to cancel them or postpone them to not bring negative media attention again.
With Jimin is a wild card for me. There are many things I don't understand about Hybe's approach to his career. You know Hybe love to flaunt their achievements, especially in the west, but with Jm is radio silence pretty much. And some may say it's because they can't claim that success, but Jimin didn't work alone, for Muse he worked with Ryan Tedder and Jon Bellion, who are artists that were probably contacted thanks to hybe's a&r team too. They could easily say, "hey look what our hybe america connections got us" This song was possible thanks to our team, "our artists are climbing the charts", the way they did with seven or the txt songs, and that hasn't happened. So it's very interesting...
And another food for thought, of course there's a possibility that everyone signed with hybe and some are "more ambitious" so they negotiated better promo for themselves. And you are going to tell me that out of those members, Taehyung wasn't interested in getting better promo for himself? If he had the chance to get more exposure for himself he would have taken it in a heartbeat, and this isn't hate btw he is just that type of guy who I think really likes to be a celebrity. Instead he started networking and getting outsourced projects with mhj, brand ambassadorships and acting gigs, all outside of bighit. Jimin did something similar, but I don't think he networks that much, I just think the brands and franchises were waiting to make the offer. And it's clear, notice how Jhope and JK mostly get collabs through Hybe , but Jimin and Taehyung get collabs from artists and brands outside of Hybe. Jimin got the barbie shoutout, the fast and furious ost, the taeyang collab, the dior and tiffany ambassadorships. (These fashion deals are not actually that convenient to Hybe, because they would benefit more from merch that they can sell directly, which is where Jk's brand comes at play). Besides the 2 features on Muse, none of Jimin's projects have come from Hybe, even the Vogue interview happened thanks to Dior. So, once again either they all have different contracts, or there's something else going on that maybe we'll find out later.
Everything you mentioned, dear Anon, was also noticed by me, that’s why I actually divide mmbrs into 3 parties: Jk alone, Jin, Suga and J-Hope as those who “probably negotiated some good things for themselves” and Rm, Th and Jimin who “raise questions” - in a way that their agreements haven’t yet been reached. But since Jk case is clearer than oxygen, he stands as a sole exception
I know, each one of us can make a long list of company’s dubious financial/business decisions, lack of support and even examples of sabotage, but… Let’s not jump into delululand. Jimin works in a shitty industry under a shitty company with a shitty ceo - unfortunately not everything can be explained logically there
Still I won’t deny smth really strange is going on that’s why… I still have hopes deep in my heart 😭
