HONESTLY I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT ALL THE DETAILS that's so true!!! like its absolutely horrible and mickey still admired her, still loved her, still did everything for her like what... i mean his ending with martha was so random but in that 1 second, their relationship was better than the entirety of rose/mickey. i cant imagine anyone would say it was good... or people who say mickey is useless because of rose/doctor nope no way. worst part of rose
it’s because the audience is ENCOURAGED to see mickey as a joke rose and the doctor making fun of him - they’re the PROTAGONISTS, the audience is supposed to support their acts and the doctor telling mickey he’s cool behind rose’s back but being like “yo never tell rose about this, bc we’re MANLY GUYS WITH HONOR and she’s THE GIRL” is supposed to make up for all this abuse but it doesn’t!!!!! it doesn’t and yes, yes - the fact that the one scene of martha/mickey is better than the entirety of rose and mickey’s relationship just says it all really
