in like episode one or two of the darkest day arc Sonia was like “i used to be a strong trainer but wound up quitting” so when she had to fight those macros cosmos workers I thought she was gonna, like, pull out a poké ball and then the camera would cut away, then when it came back she would have somehow defeated all of them. but nope.
