i get what pelipper is trying to say but i dont think it can fully grasp the difficulties of being a human enough for its philosophical speech. this bird is telling this to a dirt poor orphan who starved and considered snow a luxury, an abuse victim who was imprisoned and stripped of their inheritance, and a cat who was born in a wet cardboard box all alone that got kicked on the streets as a baby cuz he was hungry. and meowth isnt even human either im just calling pelipper out as a privileged pokemon cuz its clearly one of the organizations' specialest boys. "everyone has equal opportunities" he says to these 3 people that have been kicked down their whole lives from said opportunities. jessie joined team rocket cuz she ran out of options. james joined team rocket cuz they had nothing and nobody after running away. meowth joined team rocket cuz nobody else wanted him around. they are literally in this organization cuz they didnt have equal opportunities 😭 i mean they couldve left in sumo cuz they had food, shelter and income so thats their fault but also you have to think? team rocket is the only thing in their lives that has given them security as in this is the only thing that they know for a fact will be there to pick them up if they fall so to ditch it all and hope the food truck is enough to sustain them is extremely scary...... regardless of having a home and such theyre so used to every bit of comfort they have being short lived that of course they would drain themselves in that organization longer "just in case". do you get it do you understand
