this post is entirely for my own reference and intends to gather all of my shepard/ryder ocs into a tldr post
first: ayla shepard, colonist war hero vanguard, paragon, garrus-romancer. i don’t do much with her because, ultimately, as my first playthrough, i didn’t know how to develop her, so she’s mostly been abandoned.
second: irene shepard, earthborn sole survivor sentinel, paragon, liara-romancer. she’s a bit of an alliance apologist because she sees them as being what got her off the streets. she has a natural charm that she is completely unaware of. she distrusts politicians immensely but respects rules and law as bringing order to chaos. that said, she also understands that sometimes, the law doesn’t protect people, so she isn’t as hard on mercs or gangs as she wants to be
third: minerva shepard (”minnie” to her mother and anyone wishing to embarrass her), spacer war hero engineer, paragon, garrus-romancer. she has a affinity for all things mechanical and almost prefers ships to people. she has a strong sense of right and wrong that can sometimes get her in trouble for being Too Strict. she respects garrus for questioning her the same way she questions him. i go back and forth over whether i want her post-game ending to involve shalibrations or remain shakarian alone.
fourth: darcy shepard (unfortunately she’s my most recent shep and i don’t have any good art of her yet), colonist sole survivor adept, paragon, liara/thane-mancer. closed off and pragmatic, she’ll do the right thing, everyone else be damned. tends most renegade of my sheps (though she’s still solidly paragon). she’s slow to trust other people; her romance with liara was tentative, and when liara didn’t reciprocate at the beginning of me2, she moved on. her romance with thane is deeper, and more impactful.
fifth: mira ryder, logical and casual, vetra-mancer. mira approaches everything logically, but tries not to take it too seriously, lest she end up like her father. she had a rocky relationship with her dad and is trying to outdo him as pathfinder. she and her brother are very close, and she gets along well with her crew.
sixth: johanna “jo” ryder, emotional and casual, jaal-mancer. probably the most emotionally intelligent of these ocs, jo is good with people and enjoys being among them. she gets along well with the angara, whose culture jives well with her own personality. she had a tenuous relationship with her father that she nonetheless clung to.
seventh: luca ryder, logical and professional, suvi-mancer. she wanted desperately to prove herself, but then found herself thrust into leadership well before she expected. due to this, she does everything she can to emulate what she thinks her father would do. hilariously enough, she leads best when she doesn’t try to strictly adhere to what her father would do. she’s not very close to most of the crew due to being kinda standoffish (trying to maintain a sense of authority) but she’s become close to suvi and kallo.
the last picture has the characters by height (in the order that i made them) and is extremely sketchy but shows them wearing their most indicative outfit and generally compares height/body type
I was commissioned by @tiredpadme to draw Jo Ryder from Mass Effect! I rlly need to get this gameee gahhh!
First contact is up to me.

when ur bf is actually a crimelord but is also rly cute but also needs a biotic punch to the face :^)
Jo Ryder. Not enamoured with the character creator (twelve hairstyles...really??) but got her looking pretty ok. Am I right in thinking you can't choose the shape of your features, only the size and position?
