Winter Festival, snowhill.

Jo wasn't the person you'll find enjoying every single game and booth and all at the Winter Festival. She liked that the town had so many events as it made it very lively, but it also meant a lot of people around town, more than usual. One thing she did enjoy about the Winter Festival was the fact that it helped get into the holiday spirit, althought she never liked the holidays. Another thing she enjoyed, even though she might tell you someone dragged her there, was tubing. So here she was. She'd done a few rounds already, but right now she was watching people going down the slope. She catched something as someone passed in front of her. "Unless it's a fashion choice, I think you have a branch stuck in your hair."

"I feel like you've come to me for the same thing already like three times," Jo said with a sigh, half annoyed, half amused, as she looked up from the open hood of Florian's vehicle. It's not like it was the first time that he'd come in for a something simple, and she knew it wouldn't be the last. "It's your air intake hose again, you just have to..." she started before grunting slightly as she pushed back the hose onto the connector until she was sure it was on tightly. "Push it back. That's all. Do it once in a while, or we might have to have a reserved space for you in here."

Jo moved through the festival with a sense of detachment, her hands stuffed in her pockets as she navigated the crowds. She walked around the booths, more as a way to get some steps in than really being interested in buying anything. Although, she had seen some things she'd been keen to try and do herself. Then, near one of the stands selling caramel apples, she noticed Isla.

It wasn’t a surprise—Kismet Harbor wasn’t that big of a place. Jo didn’t hesitate; she wasn’t one to avoid people. With a steady stride, she made her way over.

Stopping just short of the booth, she spoke up casually, "Hey, Isla. Long time."

Jo shifted in her seat, trying to find a spot on the hayride that didn’t jab her uncomfortably in the back. She was used to this annual Founder's Festival, the same old setup every year: games, food stalls, and families trying to wrangle their kids.

She glanced at the woman sitting next to her, who seemed way too relaxed for someone enduring this glorified parade float. "You headed to the games?" she asked casually, half wondering why she'd asked at all.

Jo kicked off her shoes, feeling the cool sand under her feet as she wandered closer to the water. She glanced over at Liliana, who was trailing a few steps behind. She sighed as her feet touched the water.

"It's pretty good, not too cold," Jo commented, turning around to see her friend. "Feels nice on a day like this!" she added, stretching her arms above her head.

Now, the offer was official. For a little while now, there had been some talks with the owner and she'd considered it, but since it wasn't official, she'd pushed off the decision. Why bother if it ended up falling through? It was a big decision though. Financially, it meant a lot. Career-wise, it meant cementing it. It mean staying in Kismet Harbor. And well, there was another detail...

Sitting at the bar, she looked into her glass, took a sip and turned towards Dean. "Okay, I need your opinion on something," which may be something she should've brought up a little earlier in the evening but oh well. "Me buying a garage, good or bad idea?"
