Seven months of never-ending grief tear her to pieces but when Harriet returns safe and sound, she trusts her to put her back together. Drawn curtains, unspoken soliloquies and a coldness that stings in her bones make Sonya wish, she never begged for Harriet’s resurgence, and pray for this nightmare to stay in her dreams. Once love-filled eyes now unmoving fuel the unsettling idea that the person Sonya welcomed back into their home, might not be a person at all.

Oi @jo-the-unknowable dude. DUDE. SO. MANY. ISSUES. is he capable of writing about a woman without informing us that she's pretty? Does he know women are people and can exist in more ways than to just be attractive? Has he heard of nuance? What is an emotion? (Jd in the bg: but if I don't mention she's attractive!!!! How else will you know she's a woman!!!!! <- I have So Many Thoughts on This, not even limited to this series, but I'm not gonna get into that rn but oh my god if anyone ever wants to talk about womanhood and physical standards of beauty in western culture and the performance of femininity, hit me the fuck up.)

Thomas shot his best friend in the head. He's sad. Cool, where's the emotion, where's the pain, what does it feel Like? Where is the grief he's choking on, where are the stuttered words, where is the absence that resonates around him where a friend should be?

Has James dashner ever actually read a book or met a woman?

ALSO does he know there are other ways to maintain tension/interest and keep the plot moving other than injuring/killing characters and then trying to be as gory as possible in the description?

I'm not coherent rn but tldr THINKING ABOUT IT PISSES ME OFF like I'm used to fandoms putting out better stuff than canon, because, obviously. But this is a whole new level of incompetence tbfh .

Summary: “What’s that for?” Newt asks, admittedly a bit nosily if interested enough. He’s protective of the house, still feels a connection to the property despite his eventual goal of clearing it out  with his parents blessing. 

Thomas blinks as he waves the car-antenna-wand around the old crown moldings of the living room, collecting a slightly embarrassing number of cobwebs but nothing more. “It helps to establish para-activity levels in the airwaves.” He frowns in confusion. “Is this your first time with a ghost? Really? I thought everyone in England had a Ecto in the garden or a wraith in the attic.”

Newt shrugs, slightly British and hopeless. “I grew up in the suburbs. I doubt any ghost would pick a mid-level semi-detached over a castle down the road.”
