Okay. Lost my reason to watch this show. Bye.
The first mistake was Martin's. Letting Kedebon even be part of his three contestants was very unprofessional of him being a judge on a talent show. I thought he just wanted to have a little fun, but he continued to support Kedebon even if he was continuously being ridiculed by professionals. It is very insulting that the likes of A.K.A Jam, Modesto Taran and especially Mark Mabasa and Joan Da went home before that clown. I simply lost a lot of respect for him.
The second is the people voting for him. Fine, it's your money, it's your vote. I can't lecture you about that. But if he's ever going to have a career, it won't be a singing career, but a career as a comedian. I can at least guarantee you that.
But Kedebon is not the only mistake of the show, how can the judges pick Takeoff over Mark Mabasa when he was clearly more talented than the said group? When harmonizing, it sounded like crap, they're off key plenty of times, and it felt like each guy is trying to outshine the others.
Lastly, tonight. They picked Allen over Joan. Not only is Joan more talented, but as an amateur, she seemed to be the one with the most experience in performing. Not to mention she has the most unique voice (that she knows how to use by the way) Where the hell do you hear voices like hers here in this country? It's only a shame that the viewers didn't see that.
I told myself that as long as Joan Da is still in the competition, it'll be okay, but no, the judges got rid of her too. And that was the last straw for me. Sure, KZ Tandingan does have the 'X Factor' but not even she's going to make up for this show's flaws.
Joan Da, you will be sorely missed and just remember that your fans are those who can truly recognize talent when they see and hear it. I will be looking forward to your first album and I am also hoping that this won't pull you away from that bright future waiting for you. Yes, God does have other plans for you. The first is saving you from being tied any longer to this pathetic excuse of a show that I and all of my relatives who are fans of yours will no longer watch.
I will end this post with this:
X Factor Philippines is a joke.
Si Kedebon parang ipis, di mamatay-matay!
Tengene, sa dami kasi ng mabobottom two si Allen at si Joan pa e. MAS TALENTED naman sila kumpara sa HUNYANGO na yan e. :(((
Si KZ the saving grace nalang talaga pag-asa ng friggin messy show na to.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
BYE TAKEOFF
Joan Da - Tulak Ng Bibig Kabig Ng Dibdib
Sana mag-stick nalang siya sa style nya. Di ko masyado nagustuhan yung last two performances nya.
*cough* Bring back the guitar please
The Five out of the Eleven: X Factor PhilippinesTop 11
I am out of words as to how to describe last night’s show. It wasn’t as interesting as last week but it wasn’t boring either. In a way it was “half-baked”. Although the entire production was fantastic, it would really help I guess if song choices will be more up-to-date and interesting in addition to making the judges/mentors tougher.
I am not a singer but seriously, most contestants were really off and sugar coating the comments is not going to help them. They should prepare these contestants to the bitter sweet world of the showbiz world. I guess the first step is to crush them hard (Fine, it’s a bit harsh), but seriously the one who really wants its will step it up and transform harsh comments and criticisms into something cathartic.
And as much as I would like to say something about Charice’s Harajuku inspired look, which was a total blah, I would skip that part. Last night’s theme are songs with life/buhay in the title. In comparison to last week, most performances were really disappointing. It lacked the oomph and performances were lackluster. However, there were still pretty amazing performances and the following are my Top 5 out the 11 performances:
1. KZ – For once in my life was really a perfect song choice for her. It gave her the chance to really showcase her unique quality which transports us back to why we love her in the first place- her own signature to the songs she sings.
2. Joan Da – She doesn’t only have that rare tone but she is a performer and she showed that last night. Her rendition of a Itchyworms rock/alternative song Gusto ko lamang sa buhay was incredible. But she needs to work on her likeability factor and having the bangs was the first step, I guess.
3. Modesto – He vindicated himself with his own version of Habang May Buhay. The “operatic” quality of the voice and the sincere delivery when he sang the song proves that he rightfully belongs. No wonder the judges gave him a standing ovation.
4. Gabriel – He has that voice that is very soothing and hindi nakakasawang pakinggan. Singing Michael Jackson’s One day in your life showed off his singing skills. Given the right material, he can have a great chance of actually battle it out to win the title.
5. Mark – As a veteran of singing competitions and a freelance singer, he has the advantage in terms of performance. Singing Got to get you into my life tonight showed that he is not just a total performer but also that he can sing different genres of songs.
I don’t know how the results will turn out tonight but hopefully, the viewing public will base their verdict as to the contestant’s performance.
Writing soon.
