Joanie Wright
Pete Barton
Emmerdale 2017 | [1/8] Character Departures: ↳ Joanie Wright: ✝ 30.01.2017
emmerdale ladies week → day 2 → wlw ships
au: joanie never dies, joanie and lisa fall in love, zak cries big man tears
emmerdale ladies challenge: [1/4 badass or funny moments] ★ joanie wright
These aren’t “mental gymnastics”. These are just facts.
Zak: *Majorly cheated because he fell in love with some one else to the point that he actually married her* Got his true one back, makes Aaron feel empowered, and agrees with Robert whilst showing neither clemency, nor cruelty, towards him for being concerned about his husband.
Cain: *Cheated with the one who’s always fanned his volatility because the honeymoon period of finally being a dependable partner had worn off* You’ve already confirmed that he’ll get his true one back, he just diligently nursed the local vicar, who he’s currently kind-of adorably involved with, back to health, agrees with Robert whilst showing neither clemency, nor cruelty, towards him for being concerned about his husband, and also sought to actively support Aaron by proving to him that there are ways to release aggression, spend time with family, and not in a way that could lead to overdoing it.
Robert: *Cheated with a hastily-decided-upon drunken (on his part) one-night stand (that still maybe didn’t even fully happen) with the one who it would hurt his true one the most (also the woman who’d been trying since she moved to the village to get him to cheat with her again, having gotten him to cheat with her on his last partner, her own sister (obvious disclaimer: his relationship with his husband started out as an affair on same jilted woman)) because he felt helpless after hearing that his husband doesn’t care how it makes him feel to know that he’s doing, and mulling, drugs in prison to cope with/avoid abuse from other inmates, also, he wanted to be honest about it* Is immediately completely full of regret, for ever concerned about his husband, and you’ve already confirmed that he’ll get his true one back.
---------------
Adam: *Kind of cheated with who, if any one, it would hurt his wife the most because of self-pity and rash annoyance at how he and his wife have completely different reactions to him having a medical condition that significantly reduces their chances of becoming pregnant with her reaction being to wanting to look at all of their options and his being to simply give up and just stop talking about it* Is a belligerent ass towards Robert for being concerned about his husband, coddles Aaron by not allowing him to speak for himself, and will likely not get his wife back as the actor is leaving the show whilst the actress who plays his wife isn’t rumoured to be following him.
Paddy: *Repeatedly cheated on his perfect wife with the same also-married and seemingly random woman who he soon found out was the teacher’s assistant for their son’s class because ... ??? Just to bring her rapist stalker in to her life?!* His repetition extends to being hypocritical twat towards Robert for being concerned about his husband, he emasculates Aaron with every attempt to protect him, and there’s no way that his perfect now-ex-wife is thinking about getting in to a relationship with any one, let alone him, any time soon with there being those of us that, when the time is right, want her to be with who Adam tried to cheat with.
... Careful, Iain, it’s starting to look like you could actually know what you’re doing again even if all the while, and nevertheless, you still are horrendously biphobic. ... Don’t go back to screwing it up!
