Todd Phillips recently hinted that #Joker2 will likely end his film saga.
In an interview with Variety, Phillips said he feels their story is complete after two films. "It was fun to play in this sort of sandbox for two movies, but I think we've said what we wanted to say in this world," he said. The sequel, #Joker: Folie à Deux, picks up with #ArthurFleck in Arkham facing the death penalty, where he falls for fellow patient and music therapist Lee (#LadyGaga's #HarleyQuinn) in a musical take on the Batman universe.
Phillips also shared that much of the film's music acts as dialogue, with Arthur singing his emotions rather than engaging in traditional musical numbers.
