Johnny knows our sound better than anyone we’ve recorded with before (he’s actually sat in on more than several occasions as a bassist as we’d gone through auditions) and we knew he’d be the one to help us achieve what we were looking to get from a sonic perspective. He was a great help in being a mediator from those moments of 'I think this should go THERE…' 'nonononono it should go THERE'

2012-11-14 - Bitter End - The Shakers

The Shakers came all the way out from L.A. to play a small East Coast tour and they recently played at The Bitter End in NYC. I was excited about this show because of the insane amounts of ass they kicked the first time I saw them at The Trash Bar a few months ago, and... well God damn. The Shakers rock so God damned hard, I want to punch a hole through my monitor thinking about it. If you don't catch them when they come around your town, I want to punch a hole through you as well. In fact, f**K you if you don't like The Shakers. Get off of this blog. Forever.

That wonderful moment when your hero/favorite lady front woman from the best band ever quotes Spaceballs on her facebook status.

Like, I already want to be her. But now she's even more of a goddess. She's also perfect, FYI. It's also a lot of fun that I'm friends with her and can write below "smoke if you got 'em".

I'M SO MAD THEY WERE IN PHILLY LIKE A WEEK AGO AND I COULDN'T GO. 

Ugh.

Things that blow my mind:

My like favorite leading rock lady EVER (Jodie Schell from the Shakers) commented on the video I left on her facebook wall for her birthday and OMG I'M FANGIRLIN' SO HARDCORE RIGHT NOW. 

If you don't know who The Shakers are, learn. Because they are seriously going places. The music is incredible and I think seeing them live is the most amazing thing ever.

But seriously. Freakin' love her. She's my hero. I can only hope to be a fraction of the cool that she is. Like OMG.
