Life’s So Funny is the sixth studio album by American country music artist Joe Diffie. It was released on December 5, 1995, through Epic Records. It contains the single “Bigger Than the Beatles”, Diffie’s last Number One single on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. Third Rock From The Sun by Joe Diffie
No, not the sitcom - instead the title track from country singer Joe Diffie's 1994 album. The video was directed by Roger Pistole and features a cameo by the "dead man" from the MV for Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (When I Die) - see if you can spot it by the liquor store!
Toby Keith: American Icon (2024)
#CountryMusic
So today on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), we weill talking about the latest Country Music Special to honor the late & great Toby Keith. This tribute show took place on Wednesday August 28th, 2024 on NBC (Where I am at) and at 9pm EST (Eastern Standard Time). Here is how they honored Toby and what they played for him/us. This tribute seemed to be hosted by Jelly Roll & Priscilla Block.
Set list. Carrie Underwood - A little less talk and a lot more action. Eric Church - As good as I once was. Darius Rucker - God love her. Riley Green & Ella Langley - Who's your daddy? Ashley McBryde - Wish I didn't know now. Lainey Wilson & Jamey Johnson - Beer for my horses. Luke Bryan - Should've been a cowboy. Jordan Davis & Clay Walker - I love this bar. Jelly Roll - My list. Tyler Hubbard, Jordan Davis, Jelly Roll, HARDY, & friends - Red solo cup. HARDY & Brantley Gilbert - How do you like me now?! Toby Keith's last performance - Joe Diffie Cover - Ships that don't come in. Krystal Keith - Don't let the old man in. Trace Adkins - American soldier. Parker McCollum - Courtesy of the red, white, & blue (The angry American) with everyone getting up on the stage.
And on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I will not be giving a tribute show a review. And it was good in my opinion to give it 2 hours. It is fair to say all of those involved gave their own way to pay tribute to Toby, the best way that could think of. Thanks for taking the time to read this review. See ya all next time.

Post Malone Secures His First Hit on Country Airplay Chart With ‘Pickup Man’ - Billboard
Listen Here:
My absolute FAVORITE part of country music is the cadence. How certain artists can make things SOUND, and I’m not even talking about the beat.
I’m talking about “her daddy had a heart like a nine-pound hammer/think he even spent a little time in the slammer” in ‘What Was I Thinkin,’’ I’m talking about the ENTIRE CHORUS (whole song really) of ‘Big Ol’ Truck,’ I’m talking about the “let’s go dooooown to Dumas Walker” of ‘Dumas Walker,’ I’m talking about the “when the gun smoke settles we’ll sing a victory tune” of ‘Beer for my Horses’
The “way down yonder” in ‘Chattahoochee’ or the entirety of ‘Pickup Man’ or “that’s my na-a-ame” in ‘The Fireman’
“Mr. One-You’re-Gonna-Want-On-A-Saturday-Night” (Mr. Lonely) and “I’m on the road now/I gotta know how this dream ends” (Dream Walkin’)
Just like how somebody can make one single song sound. How it can SOUND. Country music, man
