Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), dir. Michel Gondry (via lunamonchtuna)
Oh my darling, Oh my darling, Oh my darling Clementine, You are lost and gone forever, Dreadful sorry Clementine.
I haven’t seen a film that I haven’t loved Jim Carey and Kate Winslet in and it never fails and that I end up loving the film more and more every time I see it. Definitely a comfort movie.
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
I found Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind on the Internet Archive today, so I decided to watch it
That movie destroyed me. Absolutely destroyed me
Hardly any movies actually make me cry (which is weird, considering that I'm a very emotional/empathetic person), and this movie didn't make me cry, like I would have expected from myself
However, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind put me in a weird funk for the rest of the evening.
Right after I finished the movie, I felt both numb and sad at the same time. I could feel it in my chest and everywhere else. I was stunned. I had no idea that a movie could have that big of an effect on me
Then, I had to make dinner for the fam, so I put on some music for myself as I cooked (*cough cough* Sabrina Carpenter *cough*), but even the peppy pop music didn't fully pull me out of that funk. As the music played, a strange feeling loomed in the back of my mind the whole time
Anyway, this movie was incredible. 10/10, peak fiction. Love this movie, would recommend
Also, quick side note...
Joel Barish is absolutely adorable. His wounded puppy dog demeanor captivated me ON SIGHT- (i need him)
