A/N: I love joining in on the John slander but I gotta admit he's low-key my favorite (i know he's a dick but he's mighty fine)

A – Affection: John isn’t the most openly affectionate guy in public—he tends to show it more through protective gestures like resting a hand on your back, standing between you and a crowd, or draping his jacket over your shoulders. In private, though, he softens. He loves holding you, kissing your forehead, and pulling you close on the couch like you’re his anchor.

B – Best Friend: Before being your partner, John wants to be your best friend. He craves someone who gets him beyond the Captain America/US Agent role. He jokes with you, vents to you, and leans on you in ways he won’t allow himself with anyone else.

C – Cuddles: John is a big cuddler, though he pretends he’s not. He’ll claim it’s “your thing,” but you’ll wake up in the middle of the night with his arms and legs wrapped tightly around you. He sleeps better when he’s holding you, it helps calm the chaos in his head.

D – Domestic: He’s surprisingly good at domestic life. John grew up in a pretty normal household and values stability and commitment, so he likes cooking with you, fixing things around the house, and even grocery shopping together. He thrives on routines that make him feel normal.

E – Ending Arguments: John can be stubborn. He doesn’t like being wrong, and sometimes his pride gets in the way. But when he sees he’s hurt you, the guilt eats at him. He’ll usually cool off, come back, and apologize in his gruff but heartfelt way: “I messed up. I don’t wanna lose you.”

F – First Kiss: When John kissed you for the first time, it was hesitant, he’s used to being confident on the battlefield, but with you, he didn’t want to scare you off. The kiss was slow, gentle, almost unsure, but the way you kissed him back lit him up inside.

G – Gentle: He tries to be gentle, but he’s not naturally soft-spoken. His rough edges slip through sometimes—raising his voice without meaning to, or being too blunt. But when he sees you need tenderness, he reins himself in and surprises you with how careful he can be.

H – Hugs: John’s hugs are strong, full-bodied, and often protective. He squeezes like he’s trying to shield you from the world, and sometimes it feels like he doesn’t want to let go. If he’s stressed, his hugs last longer, like he’s grounding himself in your presence.

I – Injury: He’s reckless with himself but terrified of you getting hurt. If you’re injured, he goes into overdrive—hovering, patching you up, fussing even if you insist you’re fine. If he’s the one who’s hurt, he’ll downplay it, brushing it off with “I’ve had worse,” but he secretly loves when you take care of him.

J – Jealousy: John gets jealous easily, he won’t deny it. He’s protective to a fault, sometimes insecure, and he can get prickly if someone else flirts with you. He won’t cause a scene (unless pushed), but later he’ll pull you close and mutter, “You’re mine, right?” It’s not possessive in a toxic way, just his fear of not being enough.

K – Kisses: John’s kisses are passionate, sometimes rushed, like he can’t get enough of you. He kisses your lips, your neck, your knuckles—anywhere he can reach. He also loves spontaneous kisses, pulling you in out of nowhere just because he needs to feel you.

L – Love Confession: When John confessed his feelings, it wasn’t polished. He probably blurted it out in the middle of an argument or after a near-death mission, like, “Dammit, I love you, okay?!” He’s not a smooth talker, but the rawness of it makes it real.

M – Marriage: John takes commitment very seriously. If he marries you, it’s for life. He wants a home, maybe kids someday, and he dreams of building a life that feels steady and real. He finally has another chance at love and he does not want to mess it up with you like he did with Olivia.

N – Nicknames: He loves giving you nicknames—“princess,” “baby,” or “honey” are common. In return, he secretly loves when you use soft pet names for him, though he’ll roll his eyes and pretend it’s cheesy but he loves it when you call him baby he just wont ever admit it.

O – Open: He struggles with openness at first. John has a lot of pride and doesn’t like showing weakness, but over time he learns to trust you with his insecurities, his doubts, and the parts of himself he hides from the world.

P – Protective: Extremely protective, sometimes to a fault. John will step in front of you without thinking, growl at anyone who crosses a line, and put himself in harm’s way before letting danger touch you. It’s his way of showing love.

Q – Quirks: He has a habit of fidgeting with his dog tags when he’s anxious. He also talks in his sleep sometimes—usually fragmented memories of missions. You’re the only one who makes him laugh at his own quirks instead of feeling embarrassed.

R – Remember: John remembers little details like your coffee order, the songs you hum, the way you scrunch your nose when you laugh. He might not always say it out loud, but he shows he’s paying attention by surprising you with small gestures that prove he notices.

S – Security: John craves security and offers it in return. He wants you to feel safe with him—physically and emotionally. Knowing you trust him is one of the things that keeps him grounded.

T – Touch: physical touch is important for him, it helps him remind himself that your alive and safe and next too him. he would have a hand on your back or a hand on your waist, it helps him ground himself when he goes into his spirals.

U – Upset: When John is upset, he tends to bottle it up until it spills over. He gets moody, sharp, and distant, but what helps most is when you gently remind him you’re there to listen and not their to judge. He’s not great at vulnerability, but he’ll eventually open up if you’re patient and understanding.

V – Valentine: He’s not overly flashy, but he’ll go out of his way to make Valentine’s Day special for you. A home-cooked meal, flowers, and spending time together. He doesn't like going overly huge with gifts and stuff like that but he will do whatever you want to do without complaint

W – Wild Card: John has a soft spot for dancing with you in the kitchen. It’s not something he’d admit to anyone else, but he loves holding you close while swaying to music, forehead resting against yours, even if there’s no rhythm he likes the intimacy of it, even though he hates being vulnerable he loves little moments like this.

X – XOXO: He’s affectionate, sometimes to the point of clingy. He needs reassurance through hugs and kisses, and he never leaves without kissing you goodbye. It’s like a ritual for him.

Y – Yearning: John yearns deeply. Even when you’re apart, you’re on his mind constantly. He texts you little updates, checks in on you, and carries something of yours with him like a photo or a bracelet to remind himself he’s not alone.

Z – Zzz: John sleeps best when you’re with him. He tends to toss and turn when alone, haunted by memories and nightmares, but with you in his arms, his breathing evens out and he finally finds peace. He usually falls asleep holding you like a shield.

Pitching a fun fic idea after re-watching one of my favorite Leverage episodes. Not sure if anybody has said this before but picture this:

A funny round of storytelling at the Watchtower late one night- with everyone regaling their best missions from before they became a team when all of the sudden, they all find out they had been sent out on the same job once (not counting The Vault).

It could be as far back as when Yelena was still with the Widows, Walker was in the military, Ava was still a S.H.I.E.L.D shadow operative, and Bucky was the Winter Soldier.

They could have been tasked with retrieving something valuable, but when it came to who actually got to it- the details get hazy, the stories are not adding up. Everyone thinks they were the successful one.

It wasn't until Bob asks, "Wait, when was this?" That they find out still-meth-addicted Bob had not only been there during that time, but actually ended up stealing the object totally by accident.

I love the vault scene because everyone is trying to kill each other, and the Bob gets let out during this. And then Bob proceeds to throw up repeatedly in the background while they continue trying to kill each other until they notice that poor man crawling on the floor.
