Yeah, that's better. Focus!
Rock Matrix also works nights while Crystal works days. He throws a party to celebrate his daughter's ascension to adulthood, 'cause that's how he rolls.
It's not Daisy's party, but she feels responsible for it. JoAnn's bash will not tank on her watch! "How you coming on that Best Friend tally, Ida Juana?"
"Maybe your folks need to downsize? Take fewer risks?" "Maybe, but good luck convincing them of it."
Dot's mom seems to have taken against Helen for some reason. Never mind, they'll sort it out.
Oh, thank goodness. "Pizza's here, y'all! Stop poking each other and come help yourselves!"
"I know you wanted me to be a doctor -" "Look, I'm proud of you whatever dream you follow. Maybe Janis or the new baby will doctor up."
"My mom was pretty old when she had my little sister, too. It wasn't easy getting birth control in Widespot in those days. But we've never ever regretted it because Delta's great."
"Shake your groove thing, shake your groove thing, yeah yeah." The vinyl collection gets a workout. Real musicians are never snobs, and JoAnn can't think of a better way to spend her last moments on campus than dancing.
But Janis isn't having fun, so JoAnn sisters up and sits down with her. The baby issue is not a trivial one to a future free babysitter.
"I mean, I suppose I could do all the cooking if it meant never changing a diaper -" "That's…not how diapers work, hon. Whoever's around changes the diaper. But it won't be so bad. I mean, it's not fun, but little sisters are worth a little trouble. And so is getting that crying to stop. Seriously, there's something primal about the rhythm they scream in."
John invited the Printer Sisters over to break the good news and give them Sunday dinner. JoAnn prefers Dot's parents to her own, but she and her dad bonded a bit and she gave Janis a more relaxed The Talk than her parents probably did.
Gutenberg
The Gutenbergs are another family that doesn't have story yet, though I think some is imminent. Jane had apparently gotten into some really cold situations on community lots, but John warmed her up up all right. I saw that I'd locked a "have baby" want long ago, thought "What, was I crazy?" and unlocked it. It rolled away. She popped. Oh, well. She won't be the first woman ever to regret an impulsive late-life baby?

English Bible History: Timeline of how we got the English Bible
English Bible History
The fascinating story of how we got the Bible in its present form actually starts thousands of years ago, as briefly outlined in our Timeline of Bible Translation History. As a background study, we recommend that you first review our discussion of thePre-Reformation History of the Bible from 1,400 B.C. to…
